My previous AMAs have been very successful so i will keep posting these from time to time.

Do you believe that Graves should have a cigar?

I think the real question we should ask is "Did Graves quit smoking?"

I'm Currently Gold V and About a month ago I was Gold II. I have seem to have found in a lot of my games I under perform a lot. even though I know I can do better. I've taken a couple days off to see if I can reset myself, but I still can't find a way to carry games like I used to. I have a hard time taking my snowball and transfering it to other lanes or, letting my teammates get the kills and trusting them to carry me. I don't know if I'm playing bad or if it's just this S5 Meta that is throwing me off. I've tried playing the current "op's" but I still seem to struggle to carry my games like I should be. Do I need to find like 1 or 2 champions to just main and carry myself that way, find a role and just main that role, or just be the all-arounder I've been playing as? Currently i've picked 7 supports, 2 top laners, 2 mid laners, 5 junglers, and then have an adc page, this way I keep myself from just playing random champions and helps me get better at these specific champions. My favorite role to play is Jungle, but it's so hard to have to watch your lanes lose and then help them, and have them lose again. and blame you. So i've been trying to pick up ADC and Support more. What do I do? -Thanks!

The easiest and fastest way to climb ranked is to pick 1-2 champions and get extremely good on them. For each new champion/role you learn, that is X amount of time you need to invest. Besides, theres no shame in being a 1-trick pony. High elo has tons of them.

As the jungler, you are the enabler on your team to make plays that lead to more objectives for your team. You have to be creative about ganking to surprise the enemy and once you pull off successful ganks, either hard shove the minion wave and take the turret or rotate to dragon/baron. If you can't handle the criticism your teammates give you, just mute them. Just keep in mind that sometimes, players give constructive criticism.

If you want to improve, then you have alot of work to do:

  1. Change your mentality. You need to adapt the mentality of focusing strictly on your own gameplay and factors in the game that you can control. Every game should expose mistakes you make and things you could've done better.
  2. Use a replay or recording program like League Summoner Information or leaguereplays or the replay hud from Overwolf to record your games. You can rewatch all your games now from a 3rd person perspective, analyzing the gameplay from an objective standpoint and breaking it down to bits to have a better understanding of your mistakes.
  3. Watch high elo streams or replays of high elo players. You may get to the point where you feel like you've hit a ceiling in terms of skill. You may not realize the mistakes you're making so watching other players play your role/champion will help open your mind to different playstyles/strategies/mechanics.
  4. Practice often to try the new things you've learned and to gain more experience.
  5. Use the forums to ask questions and gain more knowledge.

Do you have any suggestions on what Champions I should play. I'm a quick learner so even if its a mid laner or top laner, I'm open to learning and learning quickly. I have a hard time finding champions I think are good, because Theres So many haha!! Also, If you know any good high elo players of the champions would be nice, if you know them!

Also, Thanks so much for all the advice. I will definitely get a replay program so I can watch my games. With the mentality, I used to play R5's with a pretty good team, we were consistantly playing with diamond soloq players on the other teams. So I feel My mentality of having expectations for my teammates to do good in general or atleast have a positive attitude comes from the R5's and so It's hard for me to focus on me when I was so used to focusing on the team as a whole! Cause this game is a team game haha! hard to win 1v5! Again though Thanks a lot for all the advice I will definitely use it!!

What's something you wish your supports did more of?

As an ADC I usually main Vayne and MF. As jungle Shyvana, and as top Rumble. I don't play mid.

Vayne : When is the right time to ult as vayne? At the beginning or middle of the team fight? I usually just save it to 1v1 the enemy assassin that jumps on me. Teammates usually give me shit for it though. "Why didn't you ult earlier?"

Shyvana : What summoner spells do you run when you jungle shyvana, besides smite? Best team comp to use her in? Best lanes to gank?

Feel free to give me advice on the other champs i mentioned.

Vayne When should you ult? Its situational. Ideally, you should analyze if the teamfight is something you or your team wants to commit to. Only if you're commiting to a teamfight should you ulti at the beginning of the fight. Sometimes, you don't even need your ult in a fight if you're already strong enough to deal with the enemy. Sometimes, you're not sure if your team wants to fight so you delay your ult until mid fight. In general, I will use ult at the beginning of the fight but only if I know my teammates are committing to the fight or I have the opportunity to instantly burst down an important target. This is something you will learn with more experience from playing vayne.

Shyvana I usually run either summoner 4 OR summoner 3 if there is a major threat on the enemy team like Zed /Riven . It really is up to you if you choose to not take flash but flash has alot more uses whereas with exhaust, you're really looking to strengthen your 1v1 potential, even agianst a fed target.

As for best team comp to run her in, I personally don't see ideal comps. Shes going to scale really well and she wants to force 1v1s where she can dominate the enemy. A standard comp with hard CC is fine.

As for best lanes to gank, I generally focus top since its the easiest lane. In general, you always want to gank the lanes that are overextended where you have the dmg advantage (be very careful about ganking lanes where your ally is extremely behind). There are alot of factors to consider when deciding to gank a lane like "Can you kill the enemy or at least force them to burn summoner spells? Can you get an objective off of this gank?" Just keep in mind that shyvanna's pre-6 ganks aren't really strong and her really big powerspike comes from getting Sated Devourer. Once she has cutlass/botrk , her ability to chase down targets is much stronger. If you're going to gank as lvl 6 shyvanna with ult, be mindful of the hitbox on her ult. It has a very picky range that the enemy must be within in order to apply the knockback CC.

MissFortune In general, master landing the 2nd shot of Double up on the enemy champions when you're going for poke. You'll make better use of ur mana pool and get better trades off. Also, try to cast Q between autoattacks because the animation can cancel your autoattack. With W, its better used for extended trades to maximize the effectiveness of the extra attack speed. The W can be used to give yourself a quick burst of movement speed if you're trying to escape from a fight or want to chase an enemy. The E is good now for slowing down the enemy which provides decent chasing/disengaging CC. A combo I'd recommend to increase the amount of burst dmg you deal with your ult is to cast: W -> aa -> Q -> aa -> ult ( will apply at least 3 stacks of impure shot). Otherwise, try to get impure shot stacks on the enemy before ulting.

Rumble With rumble, max Q>E>W. Take Q at level 1 and spam it to maintain at least 50 heat. Abuse the range on your Q by kiting the enemy and use both W and E to maintain your distance from the enemy. Regarding positioning of rumble ult, throw down slanted ults (adjacent to the general direction the enemy is running or in geometric terms: within 90 degrees of the line of direction) on the enemy in an open area. If they're running in very narrow areas/choke points, straight ults tend to work better. Also, you MUST take summoner 12 . Rumble does insane AoE dmg once he has 1-2 completed items so a good teleport play can carry your team.

What do you do if a lane is asking you to camp them even though they lost their lane? I played a game recently where our bot lane was having a tough time vs Janna and Vayne, they kept on pinging assist when they died or were low health. I started camping but they still fed the Vayne and we proceeded to be murdered by Vayne and a 400 stack Nasus which I wanted to camp but bot lane wanted me there more. What should I do when people start feeding their lanes? I try to play Elise jungle in my ranked games but in some games a lane threatens me to camp them. Also any tips on counter jungling? I've been wanting to do this but I have no idea how to do it without dieing horribly to the jungler or be caught, last game the enemy Amumu tried counter jungling me since I took his red but he just got killed over and over again.

Have you ever played Quinn? If so, do you play her ADC, assassin, or bruiser? And what is your playstyle? Do you focus on splitpushing or do you teamfight with her as well? When do you avoid doing one or the other?

Also, a less Champion-specific question: where can I learn more about the laning phase and its dynamics? When should I all-in an enemy laner and when should I just sit back and farm? When should I trade with them and how do I ensure I am successful during those trades?
