It almost feels like Ranked is pure luck nowadays if you're a solo player, especially considering that I'm currently stuck in ELOHell~~(send halp plz)~~.

Don't be that guy right now in this post.

What? The guy who brings logic and reason? It is a terrible thing to bring in a time when Trump could be elected and more people think it is right to complain about free additions to a free game then it is right to say thanks for what we get.

people would rather just voice their flawed beliefs in an echo chamber than listen to reason

Is that like the thank-you I get for purchasing RP, cuz I think it's a two way bridge... That is riot provide a free game, and I purchase RP, to support their efforts. So in sense they provide a service and kick em 20 to 50 bucks for their time and effort..... Times 20 by 100k you get 2m, but we're a community of 21+million, do let's say 500k so probably 10m revenue a month.... And it's probably higher than that.

If you don't buy RP, then stand by your statement, free is free, but myself I choose to buy RP, rather than buying a new update to something else, or for them to keep the support of the game up. You think they can hold world championships and give a purse away for free...... Wake up..... The community made riot into whom they are, without OUR financial suupport, they would be closing shop. If you own a restaurant and all your customer!ers went to go eat down the street, you would be out of business real soon.

Don't come out here and tell us were being ungrateful. We helped make riot whom they are today. I guarantee you if a 25% of the people quit playing.... Around 5 million people per say, people are gonna get fired or laid off.... Something will have to give. Maybe no more world championships..... Well there goes the welfare.

We the ones that support riot, and all their endeavors. Just ask not to be forgotten..... Plain and simple. If it got to bad, they may have to keep their servers on by subscription, there goes 2/3 of their fan base. Then we the ones that can afford it..... Would still be there.

For a game that is free to play, they earned about 625 million last year, in microtransactions. That is the stuff we buy in-game. So kicking some freebies or putting a game mode out there to appease the masses, and keep us reeled in.summoner 31

You said it yourself, you choose to pay for it. It is a free game, I have put some money in this game also but it doesn't change the fact that the game itself is free. And ungrateful? That is exactly what you are being.

luzz1 votes

Ungrateful, how so..... By expressing my feelings? Do you or anyone express your feeling on how a champ is nerfed, or too over oppressive? How about changes to the game, that overall better game play? What's the difference there? If we are to do nothing, because the game is free, and should be grateful for what we get, then most everyone here in these boards are ungrateful.

Retillin1 votes

Yes there is. ELOHell is when you are stuck and can't climb. If you are stuck in B2/G3/D4. If that is why you max out, it is your ELOHell.

KazaJhodo1 votes

Correct. Plus anytime when you have to be two divisions better than the players you playing with in order to actually climb. Elo hell is created by mismatched competition.

I just started playing LoL only a year ago. Started playing ranked this season. Got Bronze 2 and already climbed up to Gold 3. Took me 20-30 games to get out of Bronze. Took roughly 120 games to get out of Silver.

Sure I got tons of trolls, AFKers, and feeders, but so did the other teams I faced. I just played my best and climbed. Also I'm a support main and I climbed playing only supports (Sona, Morgana, Nami)

Ranked doesn't make me depressed, whether it's solo or premade. I just play LoL like I play ice hockey. Always giving my 110%, win or lose. There is no point in getting angry or depressed. When the game end, knowing that you gave your all is the only victory you need.

Somehow normals make me more "depressed". There's an insane amount of mmr difference, like silvers playing against high diamonds, resulting in insane stomps. I understand that it's just normals and if you want to avoid this then go play ranked, but not everyone wants to go play ranked, a mode that should be taken 100% serious. Also, I'm only low plat and ended up playing against multiple masters and even a challenger at one point.

Paress1 votes

Both normals and ranked are depressing. In normal games I play alone (D3) but due to my high amount of games I always play against premade 5 master. And it's a matter of who try hard thé most, there are a lot of skill différence. In ranked games, sometimes you can't do anything and it ain't funny

Ranked is close to the same thing under dynamic.

mmr range is massive to accomodate premades.

Tufio4 votes

There is no ranked.

Just a normal with some random ranking.

KazaJhodo1 votes

My mmr is my play with 4 randoms against 5 randoms over and over and over and over and over == accurate ranked ladder system

Only when I get stuck in a room with trolls, lol.

Kodyack2 votes

i've had one bad game my last about, 8. i've lost 7 of those, I think. this feels like complete solo queue roulette because of dynamic queue inflating some people's MMR, then dropping them back down when they play alone.

Prozzak1 votes

Will assume you are talking about the 8 straight loss streak. You say one bad game. You have 2 games alone with < 1 kda. KDA isn't everything but < 1 in that catagory means it is a bad game. You have 5 games with 8 or more deaths. That many deaths means you made a lot of mistakes. You only broke 200 cs once, despite having 5 games over 30 minutes in length, that is poor csing.

Finally, just from K/D you only had two games with more kills then deaths. I would say from all this, you had 2 good games 3 ok games and 3 that were not very good. Probably should have one 3 of the games based on percentages, but hey a bad streak happens.

I can actually answer why the CS and deaths happened in most of those, the CS problem was primarily due to roaming alot, i actually said something about it in a couple of the games I played because I knew that it was bad, but at the same time I had given my team such an advantage from kills/assists early it shouldn't have mattered (enemy laner was also behind in CS is almost all of those cases, when i was roaming)

The deaths thing is also something I can at least shed a little light on; I did fine (or great) in laning deathswise, but by the time midgame came, someone was too fed, or I was playing frontline and had no support from my team. A good example of this are the Aurelion sol and Annie games, both of which I did really well in lane, starting off with decent scores as I recall, but the Annie one was thrown by a hecarim who dived (and ulted for movement so he could chase into a 1v3) repeatedly; Similar story for Aurelion. Then There's the Jhin game... 22/6 leblanc. she was 16/2 before she killed me. That should be all I have to say there.

KazaJhodo1 votes

All of those things you mentioned are effected by the team. So if it is luck, thats what still could happen.

Prozzak1 votes

All these things might be partially effected by a team, but you are still in control of it. You ending up dead is your fault 99% of the time.

only unbalanced games (premades with higher elo players farming wins in lower elos). But premades themselves "CAN" be fun.

MunchCrunchLunch1 votes

yes. games that are no where near close because of team mates that are either tilted or have no sense of basic game knowledge is sad. and depresses me. I main junglle. I rarely bot lane. and when I see my bot lane is 2/20 or some crazy number. it makes me sad. played adc 3 times and won 3 times in a row with pretty good damage and won lane. I mean how hard is it to know when to play safe and when not to. every gank in any lane is a kill in low elo.

Personally, I get depressed after a match ends, win or lose. Two reasons: One, the game (temporary immersion into another dimension) is over and I'm back to this reality, the struggle of human life. Two, the game probably was boring, or went by too fast. Most games now are one-sided and short.

RookPusher1 votes

Only if you stay in it for too long.

The thing about normals is, as bad as they might be, once the game ends, there's not really a residual effect you care about.

Daxanater1 votes

I just want urf so I can have fun for once, I can never get a chill blind pick game without going into diamonds as a s4 or a ranked game without AFK's and 5 man teams against me.

Nyhver1 votes

Facing the fact that ranked tends to be a grind and I think I should be higher, (most of the time, everyone plays bad / has bad times) than I am makes me disappointed along with tired

HighGoonDarius1 votes

look up the 40/20/40 principle basicly 40 percent you get carry or your whole team or most does well and you win another 40 percent are the games you just cannnot win and the 20 percent is down to you

The way you decide to play ranked on a normal day:

Golly gee wizz, I sure am having a good day. I really really want to fix that.

Sintama1 votes

Yeah, because getting absolutely stomped all day by Gold 3 and highers as a Silver 2 is really awesome. We totally play at the same skill level.

PePsiLemoNN1 votes

No? In ranked the highest player I've been matched with was G5~ last season.

In normals I went with and against diamonds

Solo queuing is an emotional roller coaster man. Sure the low times suck, but we all ride it for the high times.
