What do you do against a carry heavy team?

Or alternatively, what do you do when you're in a carry heavy team? Especially AD heavy. In Bronze, people keep saying play carries, but when you don't trust your team to go tank, apply cc, etc., I feel compelled to play a utility champion. These have been one of the most difficult matches.
