Blind Roaming is a serious problem in mid

What i mean by blind roaming is when i mid laner is playing say kat (not hate on kat players just an example :3) . Katarina might leave lane to roam bot vs say a zed, the zed then has 2 options.

  1. he can follow kat and counter gank
  2. he can continue to push in mid lane now if zed chooses the 2nd option and the jungler isn't around to cover mid then he's going to take a tower. As long as bot is warding it's also likely that they'll escape with no casualties.

My problem lies not with mid laners roaming, but choosing the wrong time to roam and as a result setting your entire team behind. Just consider everything before choosing to roam.

I think a person should only roam when they just forced a back and pushed the wave up to the opposing tower.

This will allow time for you to roam and get back to lane when the wave is back under your tower.

Roaming 101: Blow up the wave, walk straight back at your tower so the enemy doesn't know where you are roaming to, and roam immediately. If it doesn't appear to be working/enemy laners are in a bad position to gank/you find and clear a pink immediately back to mid so you do not lose tower.

Else, gank. Then go right back. Or, if mid goes down, take bot tower with 3.

I see a lot of blind roaming as well. Preffer people just let me mid lol. Itty bitty tip: When you are heading bot, throw a ward in the bush just north of drag pit, will let you know if the other mid is kind of late following or if he went back or w/e.
