Don't forget the 1 true damage they get for it too.

T RexHasTinyArms4 votes

Plus the 1 true damage to their soul when you spam laugh. Wait, is that a thing or just wishful thinking?

ChaosThief4 votes

Not only laugh as we stop their recall, laugh as they get killed by the enemy team.

...too far?

Way too fucking far.

Would you rather be Trundle Pillar'd once, or have a whole game ruined by a bunch of feeders and stuff? IN the end the game is for fun, you should be able to joke around with your teammates and have innocent fun.

RisenDarkKnight4 votes

Wait dying in league is too sacred to joke about? Have you gotten this far without ever dying in league?

Biffolo1 votes

It's not about dying, it's about having your teamate, who you put trust into stab you square in the back and try and cost you minions or worse yet get you killed. It's about trolling, not death.

Not far enough. You forgot to sneak around the enemy team after they leave the body and dance on it until they revive. Then you have completed your duty as troll king (until then you're just a chief).

Biffolo1 votes

I don't get it. How is intentionally wasting time that can cost people gold by making them late to get minions considered right? That's more fucked up than any verbal harassment people can throw out.

Davy Crockett3 votes

because griefing players with trundle and anivia walls are the greatest things to ever exist on the rift? especially if everyone is trolling

Biffolo1 votes

Trolling your teamates is the greatest thing? Nice, way to show what kind of teamate you are.

Davy Crockett4 votes

I mean... if youre trolling in a pre-made sure. Lemme introduce you to Keyori and uberdanger sometime. but in all reality... Trundle is a troll, period. being a positive troll is even better. being a troll that helps people is great. if i wanted to be a bad teammate... i'd pick teemo support and steal everyone's farm. and then afk until the end games before i told everyone to uninstall. Just saying. verbal harassment is worse than trolling because off-meta picks arent troll. griefing players every chance you get is, granted, hilarious, its toxic to the game. griefing a teammate just for kicks are great every once in a while. ill play a game with you sometime and ill pick trundle, you anivia, we go wall comp bot lane and troll.

but the greatest use for trundle pillars are stopping enemy recalls, not teammate recalls so...

Biffolo2 votes

Grief for "kicks" is fucked up. That's more fucked up than someone telling someone else to commit suicide.

willwsg2212 votes

Ummm, I don't think so lol.

Biffolo1 votes

Our opinions on that are different then. Simple as that.

1000angrybees5 votes

If you think fucking around in video game is worse than someone killing themselves, you're an insensitive little turd. Also your opinion isn't different, it's stupid and wrong.

Biffolo1 votes

As long as said someone isn't me, it really dosen't matter that much to me now does it? I'll carry on with my life. The pillar has a tangible consequence. There are over 7 billion people on this planet. A few of them leaving is insignificant. Me, you, 99% of this population are all irrelevant in the grand scheme of things.

1000angrybees2 votes

wow. You are probably the most selfish person I've ever met lmfao

That's a terrible way to think about a real life person dying in a street somewhere vs some dork costing you a couple seconds in video game. That's super unrealistic and, quite frankly, deplorable. That's not a 'different way of thinking.' that's just fucked up and sad.

But enough. I don't need to get a notification because I got in an argument with you. Bye. try to think about people besides yourself and not a video game

Biffolo1 votes

Way to show a close minded attitude. At least I am willing to accept other people have their point of views, meanwhile you attempt to berate me for mine. That isn't really needed now is it?

Davy Crockett1 votes

well.... https://youtu.be/zFU6qhiKSnQ?t=2m11s

from uberdanger and friends, this video pretty much invalidates that argument starting at 2:11

you and i can still play a game sometime and troll <3

Biffolo2 votes

Ok, first off, that's urf, which is an entirely fuck around troll mode to begin with. Second off, that could very easily be done for the sake of making the video "funny". And I don't want to intentionally put myself in a match with someone who I know is going to troll, because there is no reason to waste 20-40 minutes with a miserable experience.

Davy Crockett1 votes

come on. im a really friendly guy. ahem troll. sorry. Griefing is still griefing. you just gotta let it go. like anivia does with her permafrost... and freeze the map over.

T RexHasTinyArms1 votes

You have an interesting hierarchy of importance there sir. Kudos to your parents for instilling such stellar values.

Biffolo1 votes

Dunno, they make logical sense if you think about it. 1 of them (the whole other people killing themselves thing) has little to no impact on me. The trundle pillar has a direct instant negative result, which DOES affect me.

Jari1 votes

So you'd rather your entire team tell you to "end your pathetic life" every game, than get trundle pillared once. At least these guys are talking about stopping your recall instead of your channeled ult!

Biffolo1 votes

Yea, I would. Because I'm not weak willed enough to be phased by that kind of thing. The pillar thing has direct negative consequences to me though.

Jari1 votes

Woo 5 seconds. If you were to die because that stopped your recall, you were dead anyways.

Biffolo1 votes

Except those times where you sneak out by the skin of your teeth. I'm not even talking about death. Redoing those 8 seconds can cost you multiple minions later on, which can make the difference between getting a core item, or even just an extra ward. This is a game about many minor things adding up to one big thing. Every tiny advantage counts.

ham døg1 votes

Sombodies a Diamond 1 Riven main who deserves Challenjour...

Biffolo1 votes

And it certainly isn't me. Im a trashcan plat 5 support main. I probably will be trash by the way I define it forever. It sucks but it's the way it is.

T RexHasTinyArms1 votes

If players are raging and being jerks then it depends on how the game is going/how your mood is that day/if it's ranked, bc you have two options. The first option is to mute someone you would rather not play w/, and try to win bc you're in a good mindset, the team is doing okay at least, and it's ranked. However, if it's normals and you're in it to have fun (which they are damaging w/ their raging so you need a new fun), you're having a shitty day (and their rage is cathartic so you want to encourage it regardless of if you lose), or the team is losing so hard you're pretty sure those LP are gone anyway, then hell yeah, pillar every time.

When everything lines up like it should most days then the high road is a good option. However, sometimes you just have to take the low road and encourage that toxic player to rage more by stopping their back, baiting them into getting killed and using your dash and flash to escape when the thought you were going in w/ them, or just sniping the buff they wanted. After all, it's a game; it is intended to be fun (although there is some degree of competitive goal in advancing rank). If someone is unpleasant and that makes the game less fun, then it is reasonable to take a course of action which restores fun to the game.

Biffolo1 votes

So because he is breaking the rules, it then becomes ok for you to do the same thing? That dosen't make much sense.

"Someone said something mean to me and ruined my day during baseball, so I intentionally dropped every ball he threw to me." This is the exact same thing, and will get you thrown out of baseball leagues.

T RexHasTinyArms1 votes

Except it's more like, a player on the other team was talking shit in baseball so you pitched a fast ball a little close inside to remind them to shut up and play the game. I mean if someone on your team is talking shit then if its a pick up game you don't have to play w/ them, there's no punishment like there is in league for just being like "I can do something fun w/ my time instead of playing with someone who's an asshole" (and if it's competitive and not a pick up game or like college rec league, then you are getting paid though salary or scholarship opportunities so you put up w/ it). In league you get punished if you leave, but not if you tundle pillar :D

Biffolo1 votes

Sure, except those people won't ever let you play with them again. And trundle pillaring is the equivalent of fucking hitting the guy square in the head with a fastball. Not "throwing it inside". Threatening to trundle pillar him would be more like what you are referring to by pitching it a bit inside, which is still all kinds of wrong.

T RexHasTinyArms1 votes

Oh, well if you think throwing it inside on someone being a prick is wrong and not just what you do to teach them manners then no wonder you disagree. You're likely to be of the opinion that you shouldn't teach people a lesson when they are acting out. I think every sport I've ever played from lacrosse, to soccer, to basketball you learned to at least be nice enough to the people you practiced with that you didn't piss them off enough to throw a cheap shot at you. If you didn't have manners then eventually someone stick checked you, slide tackled, or moved an elbow wrong on a rebound just off enough to be believable they were trying to play, but still obvious enough to know it would happen again if you kept being a jerk.

Maybe it's just a southern thing, but manners are important. You shouldn't act like a jerk, but if you do there's a saying for that too; "put up or shut up." If you can't deal w/ the consequences or dish out just as good as you get back, then it might be time to consider shutting up and towing the line a bit. To each their own though, I've played w/ people who thought that running their mouth should be excusable, I've just only met one or two tough enough to back up that position and earn the right to continue it.

Biffolo1 votes

Where I'm from it's more of a mind your own business, don't be such a bitch attitude in regards to trash talk. You don't do anything during the game, save all that shit for your personal time and his after the game, when it no longer affects 16 other people. No, it's not per se excusable, but crying over anything said verbal is almost as bad.

I guess we know who the OP stopped

Biffolo1 votes

Cute. But in all seriousness, why is this considered ok? People sit there and bash toxic people all day, but then turn around and say deliberately screwing them out of valuable seconds is all fine and well. It just doesn't make sense.

Jari1 votes

Well, you can't fight fire with fire or you get banned and he's fine. So, you fight fire with pillars. It's just using game mechanics.

Biffolo1 votes

Or you do what any sensible person would do and mute the guy if he is really bothering you THAT much. There is NEVER a reason to troll. Ever.

Jari1 votes

So if I can come up with an excuse, it's okay right? Since clearly you think it's okay to say whatever you want since there's a mute button.

{quoted}

Do what any sensible person would do and leave the game if he is really bothering you THAT much. There is NEVER a reason to take abuse. Ever.

Biffolo1 votes

I think you are missing something here. Verbal abuse is a completely negateable thing, that dosen't even have an impact on you to begin with, unless you allow it to bother you. There is no "muting" a trundle pillar. You aren't getting that 40-60 gold back missed from the timing, you might even get caught out and die as a result. They are two entirely different things with one being infinitely more severe than the other.

Jari1 votes

But Trundle pillars are stoppable. It's called Banning the champ. So if you can avoid it in any way, then that means it has to be okay right? If you have that happen, you should have banned Trundle.

Biffolo1 votes

Still creates a direct impact onto your game. Having to execute sub-optimal tactics in the ban phase is still a direct negative impact. And before you get nit-picky, you can communicate just fine through smart-pings, and it IS more optimal if the person is flaming you. You can also do it while walking to lane, so you don't even waste time.

Jari1 votes

But I gave you a way that it can be avoided, unless you want to just avoid being near Trundle on recall. It's not like you're a mid laner and he'll just magically be in mid lane every time you go to recall.

Biffolo1 votes

A 100% unreasonable way, that leaves other power picks open.
