Good support lux build?
As the title says. Just winged (and loved) a support lux game but I am wondering if there is a more proper build to it. Thanks in advance :D

There are 2 factors you have to consider.
Winning lane: This means that you got your ADcarry fed and he no longer needs a babysitter, hes all grown up and ready to face the big bad League. This also means that you can go shopping for yourself now, Mommy lux has to look good winning after all. So if you won your lane. go with items that make you more usefull to the teamfights (usually damage since you are AoE). Personally, if i win my lane, i go full on mage with 1 support item( the starting one cause its actually beneficial to my final build). My ex build.

< Situational.
!!!Get whenever you have 400 gold and free item space!!!!>>>
The extra AP and True damage helps you take down the enemies faster.
Now... For a losing lane. This is mostly a situational build, so im gonna explain your role and what i have done in the past.
A losing lane entails that your Adc isnt fed, he hasn't farmed, and hes at least 3 levels behind the enemy Adc. So it becomes YOUR LIFE To keep his kid from feeding anymore. This is where things get kinky. You need to adapt to whats happening. Mostly is making sure you dont die, while making sure you guys arent caught by surprise. I usually go tanky Support in this case, i become a secondary front line and make sure to keep the important targets fighting me while my team takes them down (this tactic usually involves your death, because you are getting focused hard, make sure to survive the most possible while making yourself usefull.) My example build is:

Ok i put the
in this form, because its up to you to decide which of its builds to take, the tankier one or the utility one, its up to you.
!!! This item is even more important in this build than in the other, because it gives you some kick while you tank.
ALWAYS get it after lvl 9, it makes a difference!!!
IMPORTANT: Dont waste a spot on sightstone, its a wasted item on lux. the best option is to get a
Because it has unlimited Wards (they recharge after a bit) and its only 250 Gold.
Keep in mind, this is what I do, its not everyone, its up to you to test and figure out what items work best on you.
Good Luck :D
Tank Lux, always the best type of lux no AP no MR just full health, and Rush a Hurricane if you are behind.
Instead of wards buy Flasks, but you are going to need 3 lategame and if you have any less then you are doing it wrong.
really depends on comps...though generally voidstaff is by far the most efficient single dmg item on her, ardent censer can be insanly strong, banner is a great item and if your adc plays decent you should always get zeke´s at some point.

If you're not doing that well with Death-Assist ratios, you could switch Mejia's out for something else.
or
would be my choice =x Or, of course,
Lux doesn't do as great with the pure utility items as much as stacking heavy AP, just like mid Lux. Mostly she brings damage, damage, and more damage along with her great CC and shield.
Support or mid Lux isn't gonna find herself in the middle of the fight, so something like Frozen Heart or Abyssal Scepter is next to useless. Going tanky on Lux is also a waste, unless you are literally getting dived onto every fight (hint: you shouldn't, due to positioning).
Don't upgrade this thing because it slows down your build and isn't even worth upgrading:
You CAN start with (or switch to) this and use the upgrade for the team utility:
Try to get 40% CDR without going over the cap. You shouldn't need the CDR boots if you're doing well.
If you can get away with building Mejai's Soulstealer, do it. If not, just get your mana under control (Athene's or Morellonomicon) and build the damage.
Oh, and ALWAYS BUILD SIGHTSTONE. You are still a support! Your team needs the vision control, that means YOU take sweeper to clear out enemy wards, and keep spamming wards with sightstone. The yellow trinket is not good enough. Don't forget your pink ward, too.
If your lane is doing well, build her like you'd build her mid lane after your sightstone and lens.
If doing ok but not stomping, go for AP items that provide utility and/or are cost-efficient

If losing, help your team with the appropriate defensive support items
and/or
but you can still mix in something like Twin Shadows + Morellonomicon.
