Should Junglers build Sightstone?

I know Lee Sin does it because of his dashes, and I do so when I'm on a tanky champion, but should it be something I'm always building? Warding is very important when jungling, and buy so many wards gets expensive. Plus health isn't the worse stat on most champions right?

I'd say only if you're behind and unlikely to contribute much to the win. Or if you're Jax, obviously.

I only build that when I have a very stubborn support who doesn't buys one and just focuses on building AP like a retard.

jax also does. he has a longer range on his Q than lee sins w. and its on a 3 second cool down(not even max cdr). when i go sightstone jax jungle. i can escape literally any enemy who comes at me just with ward+hops.

If your team really needs the extra vision and one sightstone isn't enough.

if you're a super tanky jungler i'd say yes.

it's a very common item on nunu for example. back when elise was meta a lot of players would build it on her too.

just think smartly about the champion and what your purpose is. khazix needs to kill people quickly for resets so no sightstone for him. nautilus is a super tanky CC monster, so you could definitely consider it on him and rely on trailblazer smite for clearing.

If they aren't Lee Sin, they still might have a move that scales with Health so it's considerable. Generally speaking though, paying 475 for an upgraded trinket is a better investment in the long run.

In my oppinion, wards are a must whenever you think the enemy invades or want to invade yourself, when you want to counter gank or prevent gettign counter ganked and when you want to secure dragon. So pretty much always.

You only need to place six wards to make the stone worth it.

There is no champ who wouldn't benefit from an early sightstone. Pre level 10, everyone excpet Thresh has enough armor, but little health, so getting a ruby helps a lot more than getting cloth armor.

I saw in a comment that you are bronze V.

No one pays attention to the wards you buy anyway down there, and for a sight stone you can get full upgraded boots and 2 greens and a pink.

Not worth it.

Even in higher elos i would only recommend it rarely.

I buy sightstone on LeeSin always , Nunu almost always, Sejuani sometimes, and rarely with JarvanIV. I could see sightstone working well with Elise.

If you're playing tanky junglers who work well with HP and focus mostly on objective control (ex: Nunu) you benefit a lot from sightstone.

I feel like it's an investment that almost every role should make at least towards the beginning. Man, vision can turn a losing game into a win. Knowing where all the enemies are at any given moment is a huge advantage. No not every champ needs a sightstone in reality. But every player needs to be more aware of the mini-map, and a good way to improve that recognition is to have an item whose main use is to improve that part of you're screen. It will improve your map awareness big time when you're thinking about where to put these things and checking them. Oh is dragon warded? Nope, did we get dragon last, what's the timer at? 1:30 to go, I should ward dragon. We are trying some side bush antics? Ward around some of the entrances so you don't get pinched. And so in conclusion the list goes on.

I know this a little off topic, but really I wish more people would buy vision of some kind. So many games as an ADC/ADP i have to make that sightstone buy because I have a support who doesn't, or doesn't know they should. But even when they do buy it more often than not I'm going to pick it up anyway. And this goes doubly so if we are behind in objectives/kills. Game Changer, being able to see.

core item on jungle Jax after bilgewater IMO. Jungle Jax is best built BoRK, Devourer, full tank, and sight stone essentially gives him a 3 sec CD flash. He can engage anywhere he wants and escape anyone he wants.
