How to Counter Vayne

I will grant that a late game Vayne doesn't have many weaknesses and she almost always 1v1 anyone at that point but in a teamfight she can be nullified. The trick is to focus more on attack speed reduction rather then tanky stats in general. and are the key items. Picking can help a lot as she needs to get really close to deal her damage so that puts her within range of Exhaust.

Champions that work well against Vayne are as they can hit her AS really hard.

This is a really short list I know, I do wish there were more options to reduce attack speed in the game as there are a lot of champions that like to build attack speed and there is very little that can reduce that.

And pink wards. Also things like the mythical upgraded trinket should work too.

You forgot these two as well, Graves Draven , Graves should be able to burst her down, and Draven is one of her true counters that hasn't been hit to hard, provided he can use his passive properly.

ADC Kennen Shrek in lane every time and if she tries to all in you, you can actually peel for your self and stun her. She has no way to poke back and if she tumbles into you their screwed. Although at higher levels this is an even matchup against inexperienced Vayne's they aren't gonna know what the hell to do.

The only problem is when you 100 percent have to get these items/Summoner spells/ or pick said champs just to negate 1 champion there is something wrong.

There is only 1 counter to vayne; hope you can burst her down before she bursts and kites you down

Master yi/leblanc is pretty much the only person that can 1v1 her easily without chain ccing her, and that's if you get the jump on her + have items + have oracles lens/pink

Even that is gimmicky... vayne is pretty imba right now but it's funny seeing people trying to defend her

The only way to counter Vayne for reals is:

Malphite / MonkeyKing / Ekko / Amumu / Sejuani + Orianna / Annie one shot. Gragas / Blitzcrank knocking/pulling her into your team.

Vayne, even with a QSS, get's royally fucked by Blitzcrank Cant QSS the pull or the knock up, by then she's dead. Braum Q? Ulti? Auto attack? 3 ways to CC her. Fizz Can only QSS the slow on his ult. All that damage is still coming. vayne E's? pole. Diana retarded amount of burst. Get E'd away? You have at least 2 jumps on your ult, presuming you landed the Q. Nautilus Of all the supports right now. With ignite, he can probably solo your AD. Not even gonna mention that CC. Also his ult can't be QSS'd. Rengar poof goes any adc Riven Do i even need to say anything MonkeyKing cant QSS that insane armor shredding ulti. Yasuo Talk about cancer. IMO, worse than vayne. Can't QSS his ult. By the time you land you're crit for 9000% damage Fuck. That. Ulti. A nightmare for all ADCs. countered with banshee's veil, but bait that out and you wont even have to ult the enemy adc with how much zoning power you have Tryndamere Literally invincible glass cannon against a squishy adc. you do the math. Sion probably the most CC one single person can bring to a team. Althought easily kited, has multiple knock up which CANT BE QSS'D. Nasus Can definitely be countered by QSS. but if you can bait that out, wither is probably the most OP ability in the game. Annie like rengar except can make your ADC disappear with AP Alistar You can't milk (QSS) knock ups Gragas probably the most skill oriented, a well placed gragas ult can't be Qss'd and is utterly devastating for a team. Also while we're on him a great pick FOR a team with vayne, since vayne strives most when people are alone, so separating that team is a guaranteed death

Another option is to simply take early-lane champions with high harass and burst. Lucian, Graves, and Draven for example. Take these along with an aggressive support like Thresh or Leona and you're solid to shut her down for the rest of the game just through lane.

Yes, her early game isn't as bad as everyone says it is, but it's still pretty weak in comparison to others (like the aforementioned adcs/supports above)
