Going to the wrong lane gets people stuck in elo hell
One of the biggest reasons that people have trouble climbing is that the go to the wrong lane after going B.
In the early game, you should usually go to your own lane after going B. The problem is that people keep doing this during mid/lategame. The ADC goes bot, the top goes top, etc. Even if their lane is pushed towards the enemy inner turret and another lane is getting pushed toward their own turret, they won't go to the lane with 12 minions free to CS while their team is dead or busy doing something else. Look at the minimap to see which way is best to go after leaving the shop!
Another great issue is that once teamfights have started, people tend to keep going midlane as if the game suddenly became and ARAM game and the other lanes don't exist. Even when the enemy inhibitor at midlane is destroyed, more than 95%of the players in gold and below, and still too many in plat+ keep going mid and push this lane. Unless your team is incredibly far ahead, you won't get anything else out of this lane. You can't kill their double turrets as they protect them. You need to get other inner turrets and inhibitors in top/bot. People often do this when the wave is already pushed to the turret, but they rarely run back to push the lane from midway or beyond. Instead, they just hang around mid for 3 minutes. When you see your team hanging around mid while inhib is already down, ping on the top and bottom turrets to make your team aware that they should go there. Ping retreat on the midlane and tell in chat it's useless to stay mid while inhib is down.
Also if their inhib isn't destroyed yet, people tend to stay mid waiting for a teamfight to happen while a HUGE minion wave is pushing one or both of the sidelanes. You don't want to teamfight when this happens. What you should do is either ping the "I'm heading that way" ping or the "protect this turret ping" depending whether you want to clear the wave yourself or want someone else to clear. Follow this up with one or two DANGER pings in the midlane to make sure your team realizes not to engage/risk getting engaged upon.
I told some of my silver&gold friends and they were very greatful for the info and said that it would certainly help them win more games as they often didn't know what to do in the lategame.
