Duskblade of Draktharr's slow should be for melee only

is pretty similar to in that they both have a slow on their first auto attack (under certain condition). Dead Man's Plate's slow is limited to melee attacks only. Because ranged champions don't need the slow to stick to their targets. Instead, they use it to kite. Duskblade should work the same way. I'm not saying Lethality items shouldn't be good on Marksmen, but slows on auto-attacks is something that has very different purposes when it comes to ranged or melee champions.

So ADCs and Mages are supposed to have the armor level of tanks?

I know death's dance, GA, and Zhonya's are options but lethality is designed to counter low armor and damage characters are usually forced into building some damage or they become totally irrelevant. Their options then become avoid the damage or die before 3rd item. Thats kinda why its such a hard stat to balance.

You literally reduce item 3147 to pre buff levels of damage with item 3047 item 3026 or item 3157 late game. Early game a pair of is good until they are working on their 3rd lethality item. An item shouldn't be ~~nerfed~~ gutted (it does need a nerf) because you refuse to buy an item to counter it.

Out of curiosity how do you play vs item 3146 ? Since you gain significantly less MR per level than armor.

Gunblade doesn't give a bunch of super useful stats all in one purchase

Gunblade costs 500 more gold with an awkward build path.

Gunblade can't be potentially used repeatedly in a fight.

It's not really comparable.

The up front burst on item 3146 IS comparable (and higher) than item 3147 . I have nearly 30 games played on this patch in mid plat and have had 0 instances of getting 1 combo'd by duskblade since I buy item 3047 into it. I have seen everyone from qtpie to johnny from bronze 4 talking about how OP this item is and quite frankly it is ridiculous.

If I can live through a combo from this

Hyperbole is the logic of champions friend, celebrate about the "massive" hot fix you got xD Riot clearly isn't buying the circle jerk, Duskblade lost like 25-30 damage off of first buying it and they are currently planning to buff some of that back.

Duskblade hotfix was shit. It's a difference of 26 damage at level 9.

Because the people complaining about it are actually just whining to whine, it is literally slightly better than old duskbalde if you build armor which is why Riot is ALREADY planning on returning damage to it for melee champions.

That's because in LCS they are coordinated teams where, while I don't watch LCS, I believe they max E second for the utility it gives and are okay with trusting their teammates with their picks. They aren't trying to make plays, they're playing it safe. In SoloQ, especially my shit ELO if I ever care to play Ranked, I have to be the carry. I can't trust my team with that responsibility.

As for Duskblade, people are whining because new Lethality basically made most AD Assassins to their pre-Assassin Update selves. AKA Deleting squishies instantaneously without remorse which is what the Assassin Update was supposed to stop.

Duskblade works melee and ranged and even assuming we made this change to melee only both forms have the damage. And most melees have a gapcloser anyway, any immobile champion will take duskblade damage facechecking or not. And this isn't even mentioning teamfights where it gets so chaotic that people wind up in chokes, getting hit by cc, or getting zoned into dangerous positions.

Duskblade's balance should be balanced alongside other damage items, I think its close to where it needs to be but a ranged punisher isn't relying on you to "facecheck less".

To be fair Jhin doesn't even need the slow for Duskblade to be good on him, he has a nice powerful root, slow traps, and 4th shot gives him move speed. He'd still be able to get it just for killing wards and bursting after rushing Youmuu.

I'm sorry but Quinn was not viable in the meta before duskblade changes. She just got shit on by practically EVERYONE since she plays like an assassin rather than an actual AD and lethality was absolute garbage.

Lethality changes helped her become viable, for better or for worse.

item 3031 item 3087 item 3078 Burst? Check. item 3153 item 3036 item 3071 AT? Check. item 3742 item 3053 item 3065 item 3072 draintanking/bruiser? Check. item 3085 item 3033 AoE heal denial? Check.

I don't need no lethality, but the recent item 3147 change is DOPE AS F(censored), I literally rush item 3078 item 3087 every game(even if they are very tanky - i play rankeds for fun) and oneshot the squishy enemies. Extra spicy.

Notice how none of those are even remotely good on Quinn? Her crit build is ER Shiv IE. Her lethality build was her only one. BoRK doesn't work on her, neither does Cleaver so well. Sterak's and Deadmans are practically melee only. Hurricane isn't build, nor is Trinity.

Too bad, builds DO deviate depending on situation. I could include item 3091 for that, too. It's good, against magic damage based opponents. item 3153 works wonders on her, especially after the recent stat shift(AS -> AD) Let me continue and item 3022 works too giving her loads of durability for all these annoying assassins trying to kill her. It's not like "only crit build exists", many builds exist. item 3085 I listed it because it can spread effects on multiple people from item 3153 item 3091 item 3033 to a wider area, for example when enemy has DrMundo Warwick Vladimir Draven Soraka comp

Quinn doesn't build Wit's End because Wit's End is a shit item.

Quinn's range is too low to use Hurricane.

42 extra magic damage + quite a bit of magic resist and attack speed ... for 2,6k gold sounds like shit item? No way.

Teemo 's range is also low but he still uses item 3085 to spread poison effect. Vayne high elo mains build just for AoE damage, because otherwise she is meh.

Vayne doesn't build Hurricane. She's rather go Shiv RFC or Shiv PD.

Well, those "pleps" have a better knowledge of the champion you do. High ELO players, specifically challenger players, do NOT buy Hurricane at all, because it's a terrible item on her, they instead buy attack speed and damage and become a hypercarry.

And do you know why they don't buy hurricane on her? Because silver bolts can ONLY BE APPLIED TO ONE CHAMPION AT A TIME. Silver Bolts doesn't stack off Hurricane you silver/bronze plep.
