Stop these "5 person premade" missions until you have a proper replacement for Public chat rooms!

Dr Poro··268 votes·4,403 views

Seriously, these missions are so annoying to complete. It takes way too much time finding people through boards, etc. to complete them.

Clubs are still in alpha phase judged by their functionality. Still unable to invite straight from clubs or even to add them to your friend list directly. Sure, their lack of utility brings back some nostalgia from clunky games in windows 95 era, but other than that they're completely useless.

Something something indie company?

They did it again huh.

Why does someone in Rito so painfully cling to being an asshole.

someone

Given the other shit decisions they've made in the past few years, I'd say it's probably the majority of Rioters...

At least with Star Guardian missions you could enter queue, ask if anyone wanted to 5-man, then dodge without penalty.

I think it's funny that everyone hated it last time and they're just like, "maybe we should rethink doing premades.... nah we'all just get the backlash and do it again. Sounds good"

For fuck's sake give us our public chatrooms back! At least in Legacy Client I could always sneak in random rooms and not feel so alone, knowing others were in the same chatroom, even if nobody said shit.

that's very sad bro

Yeah, it's pretty much the last time I buy the mission packs. And I pretty much won't give a fuck about regular missions.

Remember those regular missions we're supposed to get? Like "Play X champion in 5 games"?

take your grandmas ashes and throw them in a lake, have 25 kittens, make some soup, and have 3 1/2 people kill baron while one is in bot lane taking 54% mitigated damage

Like fuck off Riot.

It completely removes all motivation for me to do the missions.

It killed the Star-guardian event for me and now worlds bullshit too.

Warkinge2 votes

Same. I prefer playing alone and sometimes Duo with a friend i think in my whole life of league player i played like 50 games out of 6K or even more if we concider temporary gamemods and dominion in a group premade of 5.

I logged in just to comment. I wholeheartedly agree! Riot needs to fix/implement public chat rooms and voice comms before introducing these kinds of missions.

In the legacy client, I made some lol friends when needing premades for events. But with the lack of either of those, this is more of a chore than fun. I enjoyed the pool party event and the burning tides event because I could find public chat rooms and to get into groups in – client. As someone commented in another reply, I too did not complete the star guardian missions because of this requirement. The difficulty of making premades in the current client is very restrictive and onerous.

Missions are an opportunity to make more friends in league if the proper tools are available.

Please, it's really unfair to people who don't have friends that play league.

Cyrosi6 votes

I'm not even fond of the forums for finding groups. There's no telling if whoever you're talking to is toxic until you get into a game with them.

AznaktaX4 votes

It's ridiculous.

Next they are gonna release a mode where 5 premade players have to play as Sailor girls against hordes of aliens with hentai tentacles.

Actually just stop these in general.. Some of us aren't social butterflies and we don't want to be. I shouldn't have to meet up with 4 strangers just to complete a mission.

Don't forget that melee only one only gave 5 fucking tokens. FIVE.

Dr Poro1 votes

Well, I'm glad that it's only 5, though. Not at first, because it takes way more efford than what you'd expect for 5 tokens, but right now I've decided to just skip this mission. I think that's what Riot was aiming for: make the reward low enough that you don't feel forced to complete them. In that sense, they succeeded. Still, I understand that many players really want to complete EVERY mission.

Myozthirirn1 votes

You can only skip 15 points if you are going f2p. Losing 5 is a lot, this mission should give 100 ip or some shit.

I have friends who used this discord server to find people to beat the Star Guardian missions: https://discord.gg/BvuPhKF

That's the League Community Discord. Got a large number of people and several game rooms that can help you find other people to friend and group up with to beat missions!

I do not intend for this to invalidate the discussion happening here; you make some valid points about Riot's strategy on this topic. I just thought trying to help people looking on this thread for a way to group up would be helpful, so I hope it is! Good luck with the missions!

Look at these forums. Or look at the chatrooms the client has. Now imagine if Riot made an entirely new forum or a new chatroom, tailored towards that childish need of yours to be catered to. A wonderful picture of cohesive coordination isn't it?

Now apologize, go to reddit, join the discord server and get that 5man premade in like a minute.

Btw, I got my 5man by queuing up with a person who added me and eventually, there were 5 of us. But I know how outlandish that must seem.

What's fun is that people complained about the same problem with Destiny to Bungie. Their response was basically "third-party programs/sites exist so we don't need the in-game functionality. Figure it out yourselves."

Then they did it again for Destiny 2. Some developers have just decided that it's easier to avoid dedicating time and money to UI elements and support for a system that can be "easily duplicated" by third parties such as Reddit.

Which, as I'm sure you're aware, is what Riot already does regarding their "official boards." Why would they act any different for premade activities?

Šternberg1 votes

Funny is that getting a 5 man premade team that wants to do this mission is harder than completing the mission itself, lol.

Poske1 votes

I think you are missing a point

If it werent 5 person premade. I would have full melee teamcomps in soloQ because people are desperate for 5 Saphires or whatever the reward is

Teamcomps specially in 2k17 are bad when full melee

HollowMimic1 votes

I think you are missing the point.

He requests to stop 5-premades, UNTIL there is a way to find these people in-game and create groups.

To avoid soloQ they can make it 3-premades or better yet to avoid them in rank (though I doubt sm would do this mission there), they can make them exclusively for Normal PvPs.

Again, until they introduce a way to create 5-man premade more smoothly/easily in-game.
