Help me beat beat Diana

Hi all. I've been playing league for about a year and a half now and consider myself a mid main. MId main to the point to when I lock in I consider mid lane won EXCEPT when someone locks in Diana. I know every champs kit and I see zero weaknesses when I play Diana. Similar to Fizz, but I have faced so many Fizz' that I even feel okay about that. Example, last game I was LeBlanc and got Diana to back sub 100hp at level 6 so I went ahead and backed as well. We both return to lane and she misses a q so I q>e her and then she lands a q and goes in. I R (e version) her into a q> ww under tower, she takes two tower shots, but while im comboing she basically 2 shot me under tower from full at 6 and gets out with 210hp.

This is how almost every round vs her goes. To me, its too much shield, too much damage, too little skill. I just don't know how anyone beats this champ. Any help at all is really appreciated. I am open to playing any champion vs her, but 500 days of thinking she is op makes me refuse to purchase her.

Honestly? Props to that Diana for getting a level 6 solo kill under tower. I mean. No disrespect to you, but that is a VERY skilled Diana.

But, yes, there are two keys to beating Diana.

  1. dodge her Q. This removes almost all of her burst and if she still tries to all in you, she's hosed.
  2. Bully her so hard pre-6. Diana has a REALLY weak pre 6, since her ult is what gives her all in and burst.

As LB against her, as soon as her Q goes out, orb and chain her. She has to choose if she wants to all in you now, and get stunned, or to back off. If she does all in, use Distortion to dash away from her, and she now has no way to fight you. Specifically, ash towards her base, cutting her off. When she turns to retreat, dash back, then mimic to pop your dash again.

If she backs off, distortion to keep her in range for chain and kill her anyway.

If she dove you under tower, there's NO way she survived that. If she tried elsewhere, chances are still high that you just murdered her. Oh, and if you have your DFG, GG.

EDIT: I am neither a Diana nor an LB player. Disclaimer and all that. If I messed this up, sorry, and maybe someone who does play them can correct me.

meanwhile people are saying Diana is not doing so well in game while others are getting rekt by her I think you might have been a "meh" LB against a Diana player who knew his shit

zed works really well against dianna and so does talon but im pretty sure those 2 are more skill matchups than kit counters i just happen to love zed's kit

Wait LB vs Diana and youre having trouble beating her? I find that very hard to believe. Diana's pre 6 might possibly be the worst in the game when LB's is one of the very best. Zone her pre-6 and her ult shouldn't have much of an impact if she has no items. Really though if you're going even with Diana by the time she hits 6 you've already lost.

Diana has additional burst with her passive, and usually will run Mpen or Hybridpen reds. How much MR did you have after your back? How much AP did she have?

Diana thrives on all-ins as her shield self-buffs if she stays in a fight to detonate all three orbs and in lane the minions will most likely do it for you. Try baiting her shield before comboing off.
