If your team has no inkling of winning, why do people get upset when you let the enemy push?

Peel Your ADC·2/11/2015, 6:34:29 AM·1 votes·408 views

For example, your jungle has let 3 dragons go from dying alone when they had the timer on it, the support is going 2/11 trying to engage despite being 5 levels lower than anyone else, your midlane cannot use their champion properly and your adc gets focused down from being the only threat aside from the top laner.

Its 30 minutes. Late in the night. Surrender vote fails. Yet another dragon down. Look around in the jungle and see there are no timers for buffs and two people die again while not defending an inhib tower? May as well inflate those cs scores and put up the image of you trying for whoever looks at it.

Because games like this:

and this:

happen.

Two games that were literally won at our Nexus (not Nexus towers - the Nexus) while enemy was ahead in kills, gold, barons, dragons and towers. The Quinn game was won off a clutch malphite ult just as he respawned, Yi game by the inhib respawning and cait being caught near fountain with homeguards Yi and Kat respawning.

The Quinn game had every player on my team be severely negative except me, exactly the situation you described. The score was something like 3-18 at 20 minutes. No one raged, no one surrendered, and by exploiting mistakes, we pulled out a win.

Its because lower elo players tend to care more about immediate threats like the enemy taking turrets or inhibitors or attack your nexus. Objectives like buffs, dragons, and baron are secondary objectives and players don't understand when to go for these free objectives when these opportunities arise. Players dying in situations that they shouldn't have ever put themselves are due to the fact that they feel obligated to stop the enemy so they think the right decision is to charge at the enemy and fight , hoping that everything turns out fine. Its all a matter of perspective and priorities in the game that results from each player's knowledge of the game. A high elo player understands what needs to be done to win the game better than a lower elo player does.
