The Nasus Conundrum

Peel Your ADC·1/21/2015, 3:15:18 PM·20 votes·2,049 views

Whenever I face a Nasus, his team will gank for him to get him ahead, set up counterjungling paths and save him from when he's low.

When I play Nasus, I see two or three enemies sitting top and my team manages to still lose everywhere else on the map.

What do

Doesn't it always seem anytime you face a potentially snow bally champ, your jungler won't gank top to put them behind or stop them from getting ahead, mid won't roam top, and the enemy will get jungle and mid ganks on you to help them snowball. But when you play said snowbally top lane champ, expecting your team to recognize the potential in helping you out, you get no ganks, can't farm part the middle of the lane for fear of being ganked, and when team fights break out and you start grouping, you are NOT ahead and your team blames you for being a loser.

What do you do? Nothing. You can't control your team mates. You either get matched with a team that wants to win or you get matched with a buncha kids that think they are pro and all want to "carry"

THIS! Man no matter who i am it seems like i am constantly getting dove under turret by 2-3 people and my jungler always responds with "Uh you dont gank top...duh"... Well their jungler is and is getting pretty fed off of it now either take fucking dragon or get the hell up here and help me. This whole 'Dont Gank Top Because Dragon is Bottom and Marksmen is More Important' bullshit needs to stop or be clarified, noob junglers take this way too literally and never ever no matter what gank top and if they do its to clean-up after im dead. Lately i have been losing Top alot, which i normally dont do, because i get absolutely no help from jungler and their jungler is basically winning the lane for them. I dont mind not getting ganks but when ive been dove for the 3rd time and he is back in my lane about to dive me again its safe to assume im being camped and you should either A) Take dragon now! or B) COUNTERGANK.... counter-ganking is a real thing look it up and learn the benefits...

That happens with almost every late game champ when you need it most...

It is worst when I play Poppy and my jungler or mid keeps telling me in chat, "No really, I play Poppy a lot and she is a lane bully, you don't need my help.".

git gud, but in all seriousness that is when you put on your dog pants and get a tripple, because your Nasus! (the most 1v5 winner in all of leg o' legions)

God this happens to me too. As Nasus I either carry or go negative but it takes 4 enemies to take me down and I destroy 3 turrets in 2 minutes. While I'm being focused my allies are being executed by minions or being picked off 1 by 1 by a less retarded enemy. In a recent game I had a riven push my lane from level 1 and she was standing at my turret the entire game but my jungler wouldn't even go near top lane.

What sort of people even play Nasus?

Do you people aspire to be potatoes?

Buy item 3024 and item 3067 Early to get tankiness and cdr for Q stacking

I'm a Nasus main... FH,Tri,SV, w/e else..

If you can stack enough (and fast enough) you could potentially pull of 1v2's against enemy junglers, then carry the lane and the game.

It's just trying to stack and learning to stack under the turret as fast as you can.

Nasus really isnt all that bad. He is a champion who can lose his lane in the champion select. Any ranged top can beat him, and bursty fighters who start with armorpen can beat him EX Riven, Darius, or Zed.

His late game is what defines him. If riot were to nerf his late game it would completely destroy him.

A great trick for beating nasus is picking a champion with ranged lockdown cc.

my advice... Play defensively, stack q to about 80. idk how you build him but i usally start with item 3074 and item 3065 and depending on how the enemy top laner is. then build more health and damage. but in all honesty i play ad and no AP. i know thatwhen i have enough damage i can take on 2 easily and if one gets away jgr gets him later on. also communication helps

and thats early game

Start flask + pots > stack that q > build tanky > stack that q

  1. Lol thats my general strategy and it generally goes well. The idea is to out sustain the enemies and get tanky enough that you can almost ignore them and freely farm q while NOT pushing your lane up. This strategy actually works really well against champs like Pantheon and Darius because they will go oom very early trying to kill you while you have only used a couple pots and still have your flask to keep you in lane as long as possible.

The one big downfall is if you first pick nasus, there are definitely some hard counters out there that will ruin your entire match! Vayne item 3070

Hopefully this helps and take tanky runes+masteries
