Your team is feeding in every lane, what do you do?

Dr Endeavor··3 votes·34,184 views

This isn't a gripe thread.... I honestly want positive feedback as to what to do (in possibly all roles). I have literally gone like 10 games recently where every lane outside my own is getting crushed and roaming to help doesn't work because they refuse to cooperate. If I roam too much I lose out on gold, exp, and possibly my tower... but if I DON'T roam when I am doing well then I just leave my team to their fate. I feel like I have reached a point in learning the game where I need that next step when teamwork isn't an option anymore. Any constructive insight is appreciated.

EDIT- Some things I would like to add

  1. Tried roaming, but at my current rank my team mates just watch me 1 vs 1 instead of helping... even with proper warning and they have the hp/mana to help
  2. Tried just to solo carry, but it is extremely difficult to 1 vs 5 an entire team's DPS, CC, and map coverage. It's too much when your team is behind on top of poor decisions being made leaving you at a 4 vs 5 or less before you even think about jumping on someone.
  3. Split pushing might be the closest I have gotten... but my team can't hold out most of the time when I am the only one ahead. Usually just makes people mad and the enemy team just pushes harder than I can push alone.
  4. Lastly, when I am a support I will usually just give up on my ADC and protect/support whoever is actually carrying... and that works really well. This doesn't work when no one is winning lane though....

Let me tell you what to do.

Buy Tryndamere Tryndamere .

Got him? Time for a guide to split pushing.

When game starts, build Doran's Bladeitem 1055 and a health pot. Make sure you grab yellow trinket. Mute everyone with /mute all, since no one knows how to play this fucking game.

Hit minions. Don't stop hitting minions. Get your E first so you can GTFO if the enemy jungler comes. If the enemy top tries to do something, use W, hit him with a few basics. If you kept hitting minions, you'll hit him with a 35% crit chance. Fuck him up. Use Q to heal, then keep hitting minions. Don't stop hitting minions.

Build BOTRKitem 3153 ->Shivitem 3087 ->Infinity Edgeitem 3031 . Upgrade your trinket at level 9. If you kept hitting minions you'll have enough gold.

Hit minions. Don't stop hitting minions.

Enemy comes to lane? Hit them. Hit them faster. FASTER.

Someone else comes to help out? Run away. I don't care if you're three levels above them (and you will, just keep hitting minions) run away.

Wait for them to leave. Ward. Push lane again. Keep hitting minions.

Is your team losing? Good. Now you can push into the enemy base. Keep hitting minions.

Never help your team in teamfights unless you're 100% sure you'll make a difference. E in, hit them. Hit them faster. FASTER. Use Q if you get low health, then R. Hit them even faster. Then Q before R runs out. If they run away, W then E them.

Hit minions.

If you can't make a difference in the teamfight, then hit minions. Fuck your team, hit minions.

Did you die at any point pass lane phase? If you did, you're Bronze V. Buy Wards. Use them.

Do you have 75638928947 CS?

If you don't, then I have one question.

Why aren't you hitting minions?

Why aren't you hitting minions?

This has been the most entertaining guide ever. I do not own Tryn, but this makes me want to own him lol

FASTER.FASTER.

God I hate Tryn for this sole reason. 10/10. Write more guides pls. Slowly climbing to challenjour by hitting minions and saying "fuck you team".

Glad I could help. I also have guides for Singed, Warwick, Bard, and Kassadin.

copy/paste singed guide pls?

Lose.

Not every game can be won. Hell I have watched streams of challenger players smurfing and losing games in low Gold because the team just fed too hard.

Well thats why I made this thread. I didnt want to fall into the mindset that its my teams fault all the time. If there isnt anything I could have done other than play at challenger level then I am fine with that, just need to improve. But if there was something then maybe I could find it by reading some good advice :)

Hmm, a rough bind indeed. I don't have the experience to give you an answer, but my best guess is honestly team work. The only games I've come back from like that have come from having a really positive cohesive team that came together after laning phase ended to cover each other's backs and try to take back some objectives while avoiding giving the enemy team an ideal team fight situation to jump on.

I realize what you're saying about team work, but that's all I've got. GLHF

Well thanks for the response at least. The best I have done is try to be constructive to get people back on track. But most people just go full tilt and no one wants to listen anymore.

split pushing and farming is really the only way to split the enemy team apart from all 5 pushing 1 lane. if you see ur team holding down mid against at least 4 of the enemy team, just tell them to not fight and just wave clear while you push a lane. once you push a lane, the enemy will either have to split off to clear or you get a free tower. Though I think this is mostly effective with a high mobility or high dps champ so you wont easily get caught/push faster.

That's what I figured I should do, and try to do. But it all boils down to the team listening... or just holding out for that matter. But I do appreciate your feedback... also, does Shyvana count? Maybe Riven is better

git commit dead2 votes

yeah riven is good for split pushing since she has a good escape if they somehow flank you. but i would not recommend pushing if you are one of the tanky ones in the team, because if they decide to collapse on your team down at mid, they have no one to peel them off.

adcs, zed, yasuo, wukong are some of the champs I like to split push with. its quick so i can just clear 1 or 2 waves and then group back mid as soon as possible.

The point of splitting is so you can put more pressure on their base and relieve the area they're currently pressuring. deciding when to split push is another story though

The main issue I suffer is the enemy team usually ignores me, slaughters my team under tower, and proceeds to power push faster than I can solo push lol

These things:

-Mejais -Farm up really well -Win your lane (go aggressively cray cray) and take their turrets. -Hunt drakes aggressively. -Pick either 1v1 champs that can 1v1 ALOT (fizz) or champs that take on entire teams (ryze)

Generally I come out very positive in lane, but I should probably get more duelists under my belt. I tend to lean towards champions that setup rather than just outright blow people away which is probably another reason why it's hard for me to carry in my elo.

Roaming a really good way to carry your team when they feed and my favorite roles to roam on are jungle (for obvious reasons) and support. WHAT?!! Now i play a lot of janna so roaming is really good when you catch someone out you just w-q and shield your teamate so they do more damage but supports like thresh, blitz, naut, and karma are good at roaming because they all have really good cc and either good damage, tankiness, a shield, and maybe mobility. I also rush mobis 90% of the time and if i get them on my first back i like to give top or mid a visit then get back to lane really quick.

If your playing jungle just have good drag control and gank a lot. You can also look at peoples match history and camp them to make them tilt lol. Definitely the funniest way to win:)

As stated I have tried roaming.... but no one follows up. Doesnt matter how many times you ping or if they are at full hp/mana.... they will just sit there and farm cs RIGHT in front of you. Dragon control doesn't mean anything if no one wants to control it, and I haven't gotten to a skill level to solo drag when the enemy team is really far ahead. I like roaming as Leona, ganks are so good. but I appreciate the feedback anyways :)

ShadowZDancer1 votes

If they honestly don't help you when you roam just play top/mid/adc and carry because that has to be a low elo and you can just carry by snowballing really easy. Play akali/riven/kat/annie/wukong all of these champs can do 3 roles at least and can carry pretty well.

If you just play snowballing champs a lot you will get to an elo where my advice will help pretty fast:)

Dr Endeavor1 votes

I dont have kat or annie, but I suppose I should just start spamming riven and akali to get better at them and give it a shot. Thanks :)

Crowd Control. That is it. That is your only answer. For this plan to work you have to win lane. This does not mean that you have to snowball. A cs lead and a kill or two is plenty.

Top - Gnar One Gnar ult will change the entire fight. Even behind anyone can just slap enemys while they are stunned against a wall. Kennen Your Passive plus your ult if used right in a teamfight is amazing way to split the team up and keep them stunned with your great dmg. Nasus Not any stuns but just stack q for an hour and get tanky with a item 3078 is great. Cassiopeia Build AP Health and make sure you get a good ult, then just q w e spam them, if your doing well in cs. it wont matter how fed the katarina or vayne is if they are dead,

Jungler- Amumu King of annoying cc Udyr Not teamfighting, but great 1v1 split pushing Nautilus Basically the same as Amumu

Mid- Galio I don't think I need to explain Brand Now he is not cc, but he has 3 aoe spells, and they hurt. Like really hurt you can easily drop a team of squish half health 1v5 so if you have some people to body block, not that hard to win the fight Soraka Win lane then heal everyone :Dsummoner 7

ADC- Draven Just snowball like crazy Kalista Decent cc with ult plus e slow, percent a percent shred, lots of wards and execute damage Jinx Just get ahead in a few kills and kill people with rockets

Sup- This role is a little hard to carry from right now. ADC are not the strongest right now, they are pretty weak. Even if you snowball your draven out of control, you will end up watching that draven attempt to 1v5 the fed katarina and just die. Play what your best at do what you can but do not expect a whole lot.item 3070 item 3070

I really appreciate this tip because it confirms something for me. Generally my greatest strength is that I consider myself an amazing support. If my ADC let's me 9/10 I usually get them fed in lane. Problem is I am depending on someone else to win the game, and that has back fired many times in the elo that I am in. It's funny that a lot of the champs you mentioned I own and enjoy playing, but a lot of the time people don't follow up on the opportunities that I give them.

Yeah playing from the sup role right now in this meta isn't the easiest, sure you can get your adc fed but if you have no front line or a fed mid or top as well you cant do anything, you have no backing for your adc if the rest of your team does bad, this is coming from an ADC main who gets fed really often but cant carry if the rest of your team are just sitting ducks... personally I have started playing the more carry people and hope you can make a big enough opportunities that they want to go in on. Not many people run away from a good 3-4 man gnar ult or kennen ult, What i would do is don't be the one to engage, wait til they do or someone on your team does, use your cc as a supplement AFTER the fight starts to win it.

Just tried 2 games with Amumu... what the hell have I been doing all this time? Holy ball sacks he is amazing and for some odd reason people are inclined to come and help when I gank, even in my own jungle! Truly fascinating lol

It is because of the champion it self people know a good mumu wont let that kid get away from you its a great kill. I normally get cinderhulk into rylai then tanky that way you stick to EVERYONE. He is the low elo jungle god. Dont try to 1v1 like a shaco cause it wont end well but people know how amazing he is at teamfights and they want to fight more and more because no matter how far behind you almost always can get a pick with your q r combo.

Thats exactly what I did, went straight into rylai. If I was even, ahead, or if top was a better intiator/tank... I went liandrys. If I was behind or the only initiator, I went straight tank after that. Also, nothing is more satisfying than to literally fly out of no where and ult the whole team.... then proceed to watch them all melt to my whole teams dmg lol (I have done this with Galio, but very rarely did anything happen even after I caught the whole team)

I mainSoraka and yeah....it's pretty much up to your team to carry you. Sure you can keep your adc alive forever but without a competant frontline your team is pretty much screwed.

Mystagent1 votes

She is technically a sup and sup will rely on you helping your team, as long as you heal as much as you can without dying and tried to save a fight across map with your ulti, it really isnt your fault your front line is weak

that team can be easily counter if you have like two people flank with their own cc to ill em, most people just stand in lane and wait for amumu to bandage toss on them then gnar and annie while kata is playing her own spin to win game and mf just shooting you... You have to split them up with somone like anivia j4 or rumble.

agbudar1 votes

nothing really, you mute your whole team (incase you are the jungler since they will be spamming all chat how bad you are at your role) and wait for the enemy to make a mistake turn the tides around push turrets down as hard as you fukkin can. also dragon take it.. baron? ignore it unless you can take it without a contest. turrets are more important if you are losing.

even if you go 1/10/20 doesnt matter as long as you get that nexus some tips for lanes

Nasus best toplaner if you are not sure what to do i go 30 armor from and 27 scaling mr from runes 0/30/0 and then just farm all day till i get item 3078 with this you can basically kill turrets with 3 shots of siphoning strike.

Malzahar great midlaner is a bit hard to get to learn but you can basically 100-0 anyone even if they are fed with the right setupitem 3027 item 3116 item 3151 gives a good amount of health and also an insane synergy with his kit. so that yi is really fed? ignite E/W ult and he is dead.... unless he went full tank

Trundle is my personal to go to champ his ult is great in making fed people weak and that is great with devourer, bork and tanky from there on out he is a great pusher and team fighter or clean up champ.

Braum get to know this guy use same runes and masteries as you would with nasus. he is great with farm adc that can hyperscale into late game. Blitzcrank land hooks profit. Nunu if you know the way of nunu support... lets just say the enemy will hate you.

Tristana SivirMissFortune KogMaw Twitch good at taking turrets and thus great at winning games all of these have great team comp ults that can give your team the morale boost they need to pick up the pace and try again.

if all of this doesn't work its time to take a break from LoL and let the trolls and ragers duke it out that day without you suffering their inhumanity really play a relaxing game of skyrim where you chain spam slow thuums and slaughter armies with an iron dagger.

Its very hard to do it alone but if you have at least one other person you can rely on it gets much easier. The big thing is to just be patient and stall. Gold leads mean nothing once everyone gets close to full build. You best chance at winning one of those games it to get a lucky team fight and then crush their base with long death timers. You're not going to win necessarily by your good plays, you are going to win because the other team is impatient or makes mistakes. I've posted a couple videos on this kind of topic:

You still have to get your team on the same page as you though, but I like this idea

Yeah, no matter what it's still a team game. If you can stall long enough every game basically turns into a team fight coin flip though. I've been on the losing end of games for 50+ minutes only to get a lucky ace and take their entire base. Biggest key to being able to pull it off is keep the people on your team who can kill towers alive.

Just had a game where were losing slightly and people werent focusing Vayne. So the game dragged out, we caught up. So for the final time.... I said just bow up Vayne, I'll hold her still for like 5 seconds (Im Leona) plus exhaust after. All you have to do... is kill Vayne. Low and behold, Vayne gets evaporated.... and the rest of the enemy team just crumbles without her. Amazing

If all lanes go south the only thing that can win you the game is if your opponents make horrendous mistakes to get you back in it. Sometimes you just have to accept that there´s a point from were you can´t do much on your own (besides keeping up vision and don´t go walking in the dark...).
