For a Garen main, are my stats with him alright?

He's the only champ I would be confident enough to say I've "mastered," but I'm still constantly looking to improve any way possible. I hope to keep my win rate going up (am 12-4 with him the last 16), and feel that I'm playing at a high enough level to do that, but I worry I'm doing something wrong, hence only 55%. I focus on farming in lane (ex. jungler gave up a kill to Irelia last match, but I outfarmed her 2-1), roam after first turret, only go for kills in lane when I am almost guaranteed a kill, keep my lane warded and play safe to avoid disastrous ganks, will sometimes sacrifice tower top to get bot or mid back going with kills/assists, and am always looking to defend or destroy turrets and act as a human shield for my allies. I'll even solo dragon over level 10 if I can do it safely to help team. Is there any super special secret tip I'm missing out on or do I just need to keep doing what I'm doing?
