This isn't news.

Alistar's combo requires a target. Has less range Can be stopped with other forms of CC or Azir's wall. He doesn't provide an AoE AS slow. Malph brings more damage

Often, you only need to use Alistar's combo once. Maybe twice.

You fail to see he is actually fairly ahead by a fairly amount after the 0:40 sec mark (see the building of his opponents and allistar) and although the CC is fairly a good amount to become annoying the Ap ratios are average at best meaning that on a equal match Allistar would lose his power around lvl 7-8.

I see you're the same person in the video as on the forum.

I play Alistar pretty religiously, and I'm trying to understand your setup. What runes and masteries did you use? You rush a Mejai's after your initial starting items, but you're maxing Q first. Are you trying to simply spam the combo with the cooldown reduction you get from maxing Q first? The reason why I ask is that Headbutt has a better ratio, and it has higher base damages.

If you wanted to play Alistar like an assassin rather than an ap tank, you should stack flat penetration instead of ap and percent penetration. Your target (the adc) won't likely build more than a Mercurial Scimitar, and they will most likely have combat runes in their glyphs. So, you wouldn't need more than 50 - 60 flat mpen to assassinate them. That's easily achievable by mpen boots, Haunting Guise, and Abyssal Scepter (along with whatever you bring along in runes). If your targets are stacking magic resistance, only then would I buy a Void Staff. With all of this in mind, why do you rush a Mejai's? Haunting Guise would give you a much better power spike with similar amounts of ap on buy, as well as some magic penetration.

I'm not trying to critique your setup. It obviously works. I'm trying to understand, so if you don't care to respond, I'd like to chat.
