Farming against an aggressive bot lane?

So I really enjoy playing Ashe, and she's my favorite champion.

I am currently in Silver 4, on the verge of demotion because I can't seem to carry.

My newest build leaves me with 91% critical chance, and 40% lifesteal at the end of the game, but I can mostly end up getting 20% unless the game holds out.

My biggest issue is I have lots of trouble farming against a lane that has a Leona or a Blitzcrank. They're all the time trying to engage in fights, especially in Silver and Bronze, because there a lot of people believe that kills > farm, even if it results in a lot of deaths.

I can get around 120 CS at 20 minutes, which is fine, but I want to increase that. I try to stay back behind minions so I don't get pulled by Blitzcrank, but in the end Leona will go ham either way, regardless of where I am.

I need to work on positioning, because it sometimes leaves me at about 108 CS at 18 minutes, sometimes even lower, because of these super aggressive bot lanes. When I'm not bot with my duo partner, I have so much trouble farming because my support either goes ham, or doesn't know how to help me disengage.

What can I do to prevent these dives/engages against such an aggressive bot lane? What can I do to increase my farm better?

Please critique me. I really want to improve, especially as Ashe. My last game I got to play as her I did 37,000 damage (I referenced the charts, and it was averaged down). I was unable to carry mostly because I couldn't get the peel I needed and we had no divers.

I really want to get out of the elo where players believe that kills will always win, even with death.

tl;dr, read the bold italicized statement.

What the hell are you building that gives you 90% crit and 40% ls?? I think you need to rethink your build.

Zerks + IE + PD + LW + BT + Banshees

Gives 55% crit and 20% ls. You should have banshees late game so you don't get instantly popped by their mage/assassin. There's no reason to go for 91% crit and 40% ls.

When you're someone like Ashe versus a kill lane bot the last thing you want is for them to hit level 2 first and engage on your level 1 self. If that is actually about to happen play back and don't get engaged. If they pushed extremely fast your cs will come near your tower. Normally though you're gonna lose some CS to stay safe. Stay in exp range of your creeps dying in this scenario.

Preferably you want to get level 2 earlier than they do. When you have a level 2 or 3 level advantage early game you have significantly more kill potential and trading power. In order to get this damage the creeps, not just last hit. While of course last hitting for gold. You want to push only slightly faster than the enemy in order to actually have this minion pressure/exp advantage while not getting close to their tower too fast.

When your bot lane has the level advantage in the early game you want to try and abuse them with it then.

You discourage enemy aggression early game by pressuring your lane so you have more minions to fight with you and maybe a level up.

When you play like this you need to be extra careful about ganks though.

The next important thing is to look for poke on the enemy ADC. If you can chunk the enemy carry they might be less aggressive.

Sometimes a super tanky aggressive support is gonna try to run at you though. You've gotta react by dodging stuff and putting the damage on them when they overreach. Your minions fight with you when enemy champions auto you, so be stoic although careful.

Those are called "Counters." The best thing you can do here is not pick Ashe vs those champs if you can help it.

If you do, try to sidestep their skills. Its your only real hope.

#1: 120 CS by 20 min is not ideal at all, should be much higher. #2:Your build must be off, 91% crit and 40% lifesteal is not needed, you must be forgetting Banshee's or Last Whisper. LW is essential, don't sacrifice it for more crit. #3: Get a support that can actually help you fend off kill supports, someone such as Janna, Thresh(also a kill support), or Lulu(strong CC against enemy ADC) #4: Stop playing Ashe against such strong laners, Ashe really ramps up slowly, and can easily fall behind. I suggest someone who can be safe/strong early such as Caitlyn Jinx Kalista Tristana Vayne (so basically don't play a low range, immobile ADC)

Leona and Blitz are definitely the most scary enemy support champs for you as Ashe. They are very tanky and dangerous.

Since you're Ashe you have volley, your W. It helps you push the lane and probably poke. As Ashe you have slightly more range than most ADC. Early game take W and look to W + auto the enemy ADC at max range. It's frustrating on the receiving end trust me :)

Poke their carry well enough and you'll maybe keep them scared so long as you avoid the killer hooks/stuns

One thing you might try that sounds counterintuitive is take more points in Q and less in W. The reason being that more points in volly is only going to push your lane which you don't want...and more points in Q allow you to harrass and chase better when aggressive melee based champions like leona and blitz over extend....this also gives your jungler more gank potential if they push your lane and can nearly guarantee a successful gank at 6 between your ult and the the more powerful permanent slow.
