What a great way to start of Season 6! Isn't the PBE meant to fix these things?

How are you supposed to test the server strength and flexibility on a server that is smaller by design? That is ridiculous.

The queue broke because there are too many players using it. Tell me, how are you supposed to test for that on a different server with less than 10% of the population?

they tried it on the pbe and when people told them it was broken they said ok and never fixed it just to release it on live so it was not even tested to began with

Can you link the sources? Not bming, just want to see the sources.

There is not "official" response of Riot admitting it was broken and just green lite it anyways. However, on the PBE forums you can find a lot of bug reports about DQ/client crashes/grey screens/ect... over the past month. How much of it is related is unknown. But there was even talk of the PBE not being able to handle the stress of the DQ as well.

"when people told them it was broken"

Again, this problem wouldn't even HAPPEN on the PBE because of its design. There aren't many players, not nearly enough to do stress testing.

There aren't many players, not nearly enough to do stress testing.

You do realize that you don't need real accounts and real people to perform a stress test, right?

and yet it did happen on the pbe and riot did nothing about it for the live client

RIOT FIX THE NEW QUES jesus were trying to play and spend money now let us no one wants to play single and duo F that shit.

Single and duo is way easier then climbing with friends.

Not at all. I never played ranked before because of the champ select system, and after teambuilder came out I played that exclusively. Now we have neither teambuilder or dynamic queue, and I refuse to play anything but ARAM now because of the huge drop in quality. Why would I willingly go back to a system where people with faster internet get the position they want because they called it first (blind pick) or a system where people who get randomly placed in a ladder get the position they want because they happen to be higher on that ladder (draft/ranked)? In teambuilder and dynamic queue I was guaranteed a position that I wanted. Now I'm just waiting for it to come back so I can get on with my placements.

All that being said, Riot really should have made sure it was going to work before putting something out that would break on day one.

It is more enjoyable to play with friends but significantly harder to win because of the way matchmaking works. Yes your team is theoretically more coordinated but so is the other team. Also discrepancies in ranks in group matchmaking is higher. You can have people 2 ranks apart playing together. Like a silver and a plat queuing up with their gold buddy. Usually with 1 or 2 people everyone else is about the same rank as you.

Well, PBE isn't meant to test the stress of Dynamic Queue on Live NA server.

Now, could they have foreseen Spec Requirements and overall stability, perhaps. Especially since having a Gaming PC or relatively stable internet that rarely dcs all of a sudden begins to DC with the intro of Dynamic Queues XD. You would think additional stability testing would have been done or debugging. Still dcing for no reason in Day 1 Ranked, seems the servers are under so much stress it kicks anything out. Not just me, but others. i even tried something relatively more stable, like DOTA2, and i dont even like DOTA2 all that much XD (need that isometric hardcore-ish MOBA fix, so much so i picked up DOTA2 again).

Once Riot sorts out the issues, im not playing until the next patch. Freaking Start of Season has been so busted.

Except Dynamic Queue stability was an issue on PBE and nobody gave a singular fuck about it.

honestly I'm tired of this crap that everyone puts on here nothing is 100% guaranteed no matter what you do.

According to an infographic from 2014, there are 3 million concurrent players during a peak hour. Lets say that NA represents 1/4 - which I think is overestimated, btw -. then you have 750k concurrent players.

When a company that breaks $1 billion in microtransaction revenues can't afford to implement a service to deal with the matchmaking of 750k players, then it is when you know something is really wrong...

this great man but here's a really good point if your dynamic queue is broken or if you thought you needed more time then why not temporarily bring back team builder until you get this fixed? because ill be honest i only played team builder because im only really good at top lane but i never get top lane in blind pick or draft and i only got to play dynamic queue once but its still pretty sad you have a PBE to test things and make sure they work before they go live that's just terrible riot might as well just gt rid of your PBE then......................

I suck top, but i will gladly play top. Got to learn to play it. Expand that champ pool.

My main issue with this is that it means no increases party reward IP. item 3070
