About Trundle Support

This was a pick by Yellowstar in recent LCS games. Before people start jumping on the Trundle support band wagon you need to realize something. He has limited use. He must be picked into a very specific matchup in order to be useful.

First, there needs to be enemy champs that do not have dashes so that his pillar can be used effectively. In solo que you will want the support or adc (or both ideally) to have no dash before picking him. The slow is strong enough that it'll force a flash/get a kill if your jungler is inbound.

Secondly the enemy team must have a dedicated tank so that Trundle can render them useless with his ult. This is very handy on junglers that like Cinderhulk and tanky top laners.

Thirdly, you need to be working with your jungler and I don't know about you but I've had a lot of games where the jungler doesn't gank or ganks rarely.

Fouth, Trundle is a melee bruiser with no poke, a weakness to kiting and no dashes. As a result he will bring very little to the match in laning phase. Trundle is a pick that needs team cooperation to utilize his skills. You will not get your lane rolling with just trundle unless the enemy bot duo is careless.

I'm not saying don't pick him, I'm just saying that you should make sure you pick him for the right reasons. Anyway, fellow support mains I salute you and wish you all well.
