the enemy team went full retard tanks. we couldn't do shit. we got fucking rekt. bad. they had 3 tanks, 1 support, and 1 adc. we couldn't even get to the back line for shit. as soon as we hit front line, it was gg.
how the fuck do you beat such team comp?
Champion picks and builds are the simple answer. Strategy is a more complicated answer.
Champion picks: 
are all champs that do well against tanks since they have some form of %hp damage and tanks usually have a lot of hp. Champions that can destroy armor or magic resist like 
can also do well depending on the matchup since they make tanks weaker.
**Builds: **
All do either %hp damage, or melt through tanky resistance stats. Are you building these?
Strategy: Think about what tanks do. They don't have a lot of damage in an even game, so they rely on their carries to do that. If you can delete the carry, then they can't kill you as easily. So that's one strategy, just kill the damage! But it's hard to do that with 3-4 tanks peeling, so you need other strategies to break up their front line. Split pushing is a great one. If you have a strong 1v1 champ like 
you can go into another lane from your team, and put pressure on the map causing 1-2 champions to come and stop you from taking inhibitors. Suddenly the enemy carries are down 1-2 peelers, and team fights get a lot easier on the other side of the map. You can do this with items like 
too if you don't feel like fighting 1v1.

It depends on the type of tanks, if they have a lot of engage you'll want a lot of disengage, in that case a janna, trundle, anivia, jarvan, anyone who can separate your team from them. Most of the time a lot of zone control and or poke does good against tanks, if you can avoid getting engaged on and poke them down it works pretty effectively. Also there is this champion called Trundle, he is literally the anti tank, he steals their armor and magic resist with his ult which also does %max health as damage, plus he has nice disengage/ zone control with his E. Hope this helps somewhat :)
