the irony of support
when the adc does good, takes all the credit.
when the adc does bad, won't stfu about how it's supports fault.
when the adc does good, takes all the credit.

And people wonder why there are so few supports.
You do realize this goes for all roles right?
Jungler doing badly, "Omg this bot."
ADC sucks, "Omg this support."
Mid sucks, "Omg, jungler no ganks."
Support sucks, "Omg, ADC sucks."
Top sucks, "Omg, their jungler camps me and mine never helps."
I main support, so imagine all the shit Iv ever heard before you try to blister my ass with flames for saying this.
There are bad supports though.
Supports that think sitting in the farthest point in a bot lane bush from the enemy bot pair is supporting, but wont leave that bush to ward.
Supports that think them jumping out and bursting down an enemy with 10% HP remaining while your lining up your skillshot was securing a kill... even though they did nothing to help get them low, that all in burst was because you weren't going to get the kill.
Supports that think "OMFG KILLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL KILL KIIIILLL KILLLLLLLLLLL" and get hyper aggressive lose most of their HP diving the enemy ADC then wont go back to heal up so they can be around for another trade creating kill pressure on you.
Supports that think "Ima que up as support
but I wont actually support, Il just wait for them to beat the hell out of the ADC and try to get kills after the blow all their stuff on the ADC, and who cares if the ADC dies... pfff" aka the not support support.
Supports who think they should finish a
before they even think about a sight stone, not to mention the supports who cant get a
after they buy the sight stone.
Supports that think about five or six other stupid things is cool because of X.
My point is there are bad supports and being a support main means I know fairly quick when I have one. I have had amazing supports, they made me look like I was playing as a god. I do get plenty of bad supports. Ill be sitting there pinging the river bush basically begging them to pry their dumb-ass out of the lane bush to ward it. They wont and I'm starting to wonder if we will get ganked soon, so I go to ward it BOOM enemy jg comes flying out of the bush. Good thing Iv been pinging it for the last 20 seconds...
There ARE bad supports, and just because you hear an ADC complaining doesn't mean there is some sweet innocent support angel over there in bot lane being abused by some dirty ol' mean ADC thug. Do supports take a lot of undue abuse? Yes, but it isnt always unwarranted.
Being a support main I know there were times when I fucking up in the past, and still do sometimes, and things were my fault. Though Iv also been the target of FAR more false criticism than was due to me also, and still get that all the time.
I strive for 51% of our teams kills in assist. If our team gets 100 kills, I feel like I need minimum 51 assist to have done my job, and died no more than 125% of anyone else. Do I get much credit for these things? Rarely. Just wanted to say that SOMETIMES, it really is the supports fault though.
Sorry guys, was I late for the upvote farming?
a new and exciting thread where all adcs are evil and all supports are saints
very original
oh wait
I think the hardest part about playing support is the fact that you rarely can carry games. I know others may feel differently however I don't care if people think its my fault or not. The bottom line in playing a support is that you make the adc's lane easier if you do well, or if the adc isn't that good or you aren't on the same line of thinking it becomes a losing lane.
MY biggest annoyance is that once it is a losing lane the adc does zero dmg, and the support is under level and low gold and cant do a thing vs anyone. Being in a thankless role is fine I just would like to be able to do something other then be useless or feed more late game when my bot lane didn't get ahead.
Its part of the reason ive been having a lot of fun playing sion support he seems to be able to hold lane and not drop off too much if he doesn't get fed. He may not be the typical support but once I started playing him im shocked at the amount of cc he brings.
Yet i always see the support on my teams bash the AD for not being good enough. 'oh the irony' is right
One thing I love...play blitz, land 98% of hooks, ADC doesn't follow up, you kill them so they don't get away...ADC rage quits...
whenever a carry/solo laner do bad /all This jg/support is such a noob ^league nature
As both an ex adc and ex support main I can always spot a bad adc or a bad support and it always warms my heart when I see a good adc and a good support.
Though in most of the cases it tends to be the ADC playing bad, most of the times I've lost my patience with any role it's generally been adc's either being overzealus or failing to react to objectives being contested, it's a behavour I rarely see in supports.
Some ADC mains are utterly tilt inducing in their behavour, have on several occations watche sub 100 hp opponents or an allied champ in need of aid being chased by low hp opponets run towards their direction and see them fail to react despite 5 gazillion pings from the team because they are busy getting those last two cs.
That being said, all classes/roles has good and bad players.
Or when supports aren't even strong enough to support themselves.
Though when I make mistakes as a support, my team blames the ADC most of the time anyways. Oh, bot is feeding? Blame the ADC.
I don't know what are you talking about, and that's what I've been seeing ever since I started supporting back in season 3.
The support can only be as good as the ADC is.
You cant have the best support in the whole LoL community and have a crap adc. That adc will have no idea what to do which limits everything the support can do. The same goes the other way too.
Support≠Adc
I am a thresh main in bronze 3. I feel like if i could just get out of elo hell i could start climbing the ladder with teammates that know how to play the game.
You did nothing to help us win
You did everything that made us lose
I love playing support but i love playing in the lanes more, fuck me right?
Well, most of my adcs tend to be bad, so I treat them like they are.
If I can finish a game going like 1/3/14, and my adc is like 7/9/10, something is wrong. If I do well, my adc SHOULD be doing equally well.
