I'm playing nocturne jungle and he is fun to play. However, I'm having a tough time with certain champs in the jungle. Currently I'm having trouble with Aatrox and his 2 health bars. I can technically kill him first, but he gets more health once he uses his passive. He builds devourer. How would you build to counter this?
This is for learning and action purposes.
Wolf Queen1 votesMy build for nocturne. Ad jungle item(red smite), attack speed boots, botrk, hydra, either ie(if they squishy) or bc(if they tanky), and then a tri force. Ive been having amazing success with this build. Been able to 1v3 easily when fed and 1v2 when not fed aslong as im not behind

I have been going Stalkers devourer, mercury treads furor, botrk, dead mans plate, banshees veil, and black cleaver. My problem is facing opponents that deal damage faster than me, and have passives that keep them alive and so I can't get away.

i dont go dev because it only works if you build it up. I get all the items many matches simply cause thats how fed i get. The ad item lets you do more damage early in which case youll get fed and be able to carry. And the full ad hydra not the health one. They do more damage then you cause tank noct is pretty bad. Ive never had anyone 1v1 do more damage then me. Had a fed darius a couple games ago and i 1v1d him with no problem. Full ad noct is extremely op if you play it right. Back to 3 days ago where i went 42/6 on him is when i fell inlove with him and the full ad build

The best way to build him would most likely be as a bruiser using black cleaver or either hydra then building into tanky stats. Deadman's plate seems to work well on him now.

easy way to fix that. Dont jump in. Get picks or wait for someone else to engage, or split push. Its been working very well for me building him pure ad

is how I came to build him on free week. I found the greater upfront burst to be more value than a dps oriented build like sated -> botrk. Bright side of Noct is that you can always slip past the tanks and go straight to a squishy, and if you can kill them quickly its really good.

SuicideJ1 votesThe build I saw a lot if was stalkers devourer, botrk, black cleaver, randuins (which I swapped out for dead man's plate), banshees veil, and mercury treads which I get furor for. Normally I'd do alacrity instead. According to some pro sites that is the highest win ratio. If I didn't need to be fast I'd say berserker greaves wouldn't be bad but I have to get all over the map without using my abilities cuz they are mana hungry.
dinkaroo1 votesYeah, it's been a while since I've played him, but after the few games I've played as nocturne, almost all of them have been wins with that build or really similar builds.
And don't forget, builds are really situational. 
might not be as effective as in some cases, but always remember to experiment.

I'm only recently Silver IV and I'm still new to ranked, but most people tend to come off condescending or down right rude so I get even more nervous because the match actual matters. I'm trying to adapt to Nocturne's playstyle, I'm just not sure how to quite yet.
dinkaroo1 votesI stopped playing ranked because I main support, but honestly, I can't leave the responsibility to carry to a bunch of people who (generally tend to) feed.
Nocturne (at least from my experience) is a really risky pick, but he also requires a lot of situational building to do well. I'd suggest playing him in norms to get a feel for what works best in what situations.
SuicideJ1 votesI play a cautious ADC who does well with a good support (not tahm kench). I do great as long as my team keeps them off of me.
I started doing jungle because supports have no idea how to peel for some reason.
I have a decent idea how to play him, its just how to deal the damage and still be tanky enough to not get wiped out. His ult is wonderful for towerdiving low hp opponent and chasing down someone who is almost dead.
S2C2Xd9KOy1 votesNocturne depends on the teams IMO. Blue debourer, BOTRK, boots is pretty much standard start when I play him. Then you can go like PD, LW, Titanic or PD, BT, LW or PD, Randuins, warmogs. If you wanna skip the BOTRK my fav build would be Devourer - Boots - Titanic - PD - Dead Mans Plate/Randuins then IE/LW/Warmogs. He has a lot of build paths.
