Oh, wait... They don't.

Just got shit on by a fucking Riven that went mega tank with a little tank killer. Why are all tese items benefitting her and not any other champion that isn't in the top most powerful champs?

Not only does this let her kill squishies, but she can also kill anything with any tank like attributes. She can't die. She can flash with Q. She hits like a freight train. She is shielded (WHY THE FUCK DO DAMAGE DEALERS HAVE FUCKING SHIELDS!?!?!?!?) She gets fucking beefy with . No amount of CC or damage will kill her.

She could 1v5 our team. She could kill me in 4 basic attacks when I had 277 Armor and 187 Magic Resist. Oh, did I mention the 4k health? Yes, I am aware of and, no I do not think it's healthy in the game. Other players on 's team could kill me, so I wasn't in Godmode or anything. I didn't care if they did. But, every fight we could wipe their team out and she would come in and ace us like it was nothing. That is NOT healthy. She is abusing items that she should not have access too. fucking just classify items under certain uses by certain champs and stop fucking doing this HP% shit!! It's fucking toxic!! you give that too a Champion that is supposed to go full Damage but now they can go full defense and it's like they went full offensive items.

How is that healthy?!?!? I don't get it!!! It's so obvious that Riot will nerf and any tank item she ever touches, but never actually touch her base stats, her ability ratios, or even some fucking rework that will make her do what she is supposed to do without being risk free, highly mobile, tanky as fuck, High Damage, good at any type of player or position, doesn't need to be a counter, etc.

For a Fighter/Assassin, there is an awful lot of Tank/Bruiser/Fighter/Assassin in her kit, item set, and playstyle..

And as always, don't forget to leave your downvotes. I'm starting a collection as it seems no one cares about this game enough to be unbiased or abandon their "freelo" for the improvement of the game..

Riven has trash tier base stats.

She's not one of the "top most powerful champs"

Three of those items , GA, Cleaver, and LD are considered core to her and everyone and their mom benefits from steraks.

Riven isn't implicitly an Assassin, and she doesn't have to be played to your expectations.

Riven takes a shit ton of effort to play even remotely properly against even semi competent people, it's not easy.

I'm a Riven main so feel free to downvote my opinions but it's really not a walk in the park to play her. It's fun as hell and super rewarding though when you do learn!

FunFact: Taliyah is a strong Riven counter, so there isn't a need to nerf her. Just play Taliyah.

And if a Riven with THAT build can kill you in 4 autotattacks with that much resists, you can't have been full HP.

@OP. I am not a riven main, but I have used her before. I challenge you to go and play her before making claims of her being easy, op, spammable, or any other words that make you feel better about them being less skilled players than you.

She is NOT easy to play well. Anyone can jump around with Q, but being school by a good riven having actually played her before, doesn't make me as mad anymore. Because I know there is a lot of time put in by the player behind those plays.

There's a reason someone like Huni pulls her out in the pros but literally nobody else does, she isn't low-skill/high-reward. She takes work to perfect, at which point she becomes very strong, Yes.

Most champs do when you master them.

You're about 5 months late to the argument. Riven is by no means "OP" in this meta. She's strong. But not op.

Play nami top, or karma top. Seriously. You shit on rivers with nami top. The best counter to riven is timing. As soon as she uses a Q just wait it out till she uses the third one then poke/engage. Yes once she has CD-R this is less effective but by then you should have either killed her, poked her out of lane, or stunted her growth at which point she becomes a strong but not overbearing late pick.

Don't worry, they won't nerf those items because of Riven using them, because only bad players like you are getting pushed into the dirt and bamboozled by Rivens that build them.

Tank items have to be strong because damage items are so strong at the moment. Damage items are given the priority right now (particularly AD, just look at the current state of Lord Dominik's Regards and Thornmail), so tanky items have to be able to keep pace for at least a short amount of time to keep those champion roles from falling to the way side.

Neither Riven nor the defensive offense items you listed are the true root of the problem here. The true problem is the offensive items the current set of defense items are supposed to help against.

Tone those offense items down and you won't need defensive tools like the ones you mentioned, and so they can safely be toned down as well and made less appealing to champions like Riven, Ekko, Fizz, and Akali.
