Help) Lower diamond vs Higher diamond

So, I'm a former D3 who got demoted all the way down to D5 after masters division kicked in and my MMR got screwed up.

After getting dropped to D5 and constant failure to go back up, Ive been wondering. What would you say the biggest difference between higher diamond vs lower diamond is during game?

Obviously champ mechanics should be the biggest thing but, I really need some good advices to go back up.

Ive been using lots of top Liss nowadays, which has been working quote good considering its still at 60 above winning ratio. But, whenever an afk or toxic player shows up, that round is a pretty much guaranteed loss since I do not have the capabilities to hold 2 people's worth.

But, I really want to go back up where things were more fun and less toxic and I really need some advice.

**What do I need to do guys? What's the difference between higher and lower diamond that makes them different? **

P.S. - Oh also, for those of you top tier top laners, **when are you comfortable to leave your lane to roam? ** Bot lane tp gank is one thing, since as top champ that has CC, you're pretty much guaranteed to get at least one of them. But, what I'm having trouble with is, roaming down without tp. For example, maybe I'll win lane, but not dominant but maybe like a kill and some cs ahead. But, you do know that mid laner has an escape or flash(wards too.) and there is a good chance for fail gank which will lead to eventual comeback of enemy laner. But, you do realize that if you stay in lane, there's a chance of camping or maybe out getting scaled and yada yada.

When are you comfortable leaving your lane? and what do you do to prevent from your enemy laner to comeback?

I can tell you right now that these are the main factors that differentiate a higher diamond player from a low diamond player:

  1. Capitalizing on the enemy's mistakes and outplaying the enemy (making plays by yourself)
  2. Properly timed and constant Rotations
  3. Knowing how push an advantage to get more objectives in the game.
  4. Mid-to-late game decision making.
  5. Playing your champion to their strengths.

Now, notice I didn't put mechanics on this list because I believe that once u reach a certain elo, most people already have the mechanics so its not really a big factor anymore. I also believe that Diamond 2/3 is around the elo where this is true. (anything lower and ur dealing with players who having varying levels of mechanics)

If you're wondering how to climb ranked, playing consistently (in terms of how you perform) and correcting your mistakes (especially the ones that tend to cost you the game) will help you climb.
