So.. Botrk is not good on ADC apparently?

Like I build it to counter tanks because normal damage doesn't tend to phase them.. But apparently, diamond players think that is stupid? Am I missing something?

When I ADC, I like to build BotRK against front line teams that can dive me easily. When I discover my team can't peel, I tend to rush it quicker. The active has saved my life more than once.

Maybe in Diamond, peel happens as it should and thus makes my reason obsolete.

whoever told you this is foolish....when i play someone like a hyper carry mainly twitch jinx and kalista. you can delete their front line especially when you cant reach their back line

I've always used it and they were like, "why are you building botrk? You never build botrk on jinx." And I was like, "How am I supposed to counter the "broken" darius that you have all been feeding?" They laughed at me for getting Boots of swiftness alacrity... after I got dropped on by 4 of the enemy team. Mainly Kassadin that just ripped me to shreds. So I said screw that. I'm not getting killed cuz these guys don't know how to not feed. So I got high mobility instead of their "perfect build". Which would have gotten me killed even more. I landed my ults more than they could land their skill shots.. Which is sad. Cuz I'm somewhat of a noob with jinx since I don't main her. I build to counter those I'm playing.

you were in the right for that situation.

Most of the Dariuses (Darii? Daripeople?) that I see tend to build pretty low resists and a lot of health because he works really well with the bruiser items (like item 3053 item 3071 item 3748 item 3742 item 3083 ) If he has a lot of health and only 1 armor item (or maybe two if they are low value like sunfire cape and dead man's) then BotRK is a great choice, both for self peel and for ripping through his HP fast.

BoRK isn't that good because it doesn't scale as much as crit and doesn't give as much survivability. The extra 55 AD on BT is another 137 damage per IE crit, which is the equivalent to the average damage (4% max HP) of BoRK to a 3000 HP champ and the max HP hit on a 1700 HP squishy.

However, BT also gives a giant's belt worth of HP (1000 gold) over its base damage and sustain stats.

Bork add attack speed which make more sens with that amount of dmg then more brute force. It doesnt scale with crit that well, but it scale perfectly with a piece of armor. Which is also the easiest counter to a tank champion. So that's the breaking point : As soon as the enemy front line is tanky enough to screw the standard positioning in teamfight walk over your front lane and threaten to make relevant dmg to you. With a bit of armor and a bork you can solo them, so the whole idea of building tanky and focusing you crumbles.

You also assume that you will 100% to 0% them on average, but they are tanks, they are the last target you want to 0%. Actually bringing them down to 50% is enough to make them look like bad bruiser with no dmg. The remaining of your team can likely 1hit KO him at that point. Hell, only 20% of their health gone and they'll start hesitating to engage.

BoRK on Lucian can be quite good against tanky teams (and it also synergizes with with his passive). On Corki it's built regularly in professional play.

BotRK is good any time the other team has multiple hp stackers or you are playing a marksman that synergizes well with it. Yeah it feels awk to build it on Caitlyn for example, but sometimes it is what the game calls for. I don't think I could ever make it on Graves, but who knows.

Some ADCs it's just a normal part of their buy process...Vayne and Twitch for instance almost always buy it. The rest...depends on the make up of the team. For instance last night Sneaky built BotRK third on Tristana after IE, Shiv because he needed a way to get through their tank heavy team. You build it based upon the enemy team.

If they only have 1 tank...you really wouldn't build it on other ADCs...it really depends on the enemy team. Don't be swayed by what some Diamond players say...they obviously don't know everything.

So I have noticed.. lol. When you are lower level looking up at them, you tend to see them with a sense of awe.. But then you meet them, and they are idiots.. I don't know how they got that high with such little knowledge..
