Am I a good Support?

I have been a support main for a long time (half a year) and I main Sona, Soraka and Braum support (I like Kennen on top but can't farm so I stopped playing him in real games).

You can go on LOL affiliated websites to see my stats (http://na.op.gg/summoner/userName=the%20stormex ) but usually, unless my team is losing really badly (doesn't happen often since I'm mostly with my real life friends), I have the least death on the team (or sometime in the game) and the most assits in the team (or the game). I am always happy when that happens and I try my best every chance I get. I'm currently practicing farming on 1v1 custom intermediate bot games so when I play ranked games, I will stand a chance.

But since I'm a support main, I muse make sure my main role is going well for me. Usually, with Sona and Soraka, I buy an Ancient Coin, 2 health potions (biscuits) and 2 mana potions. I rush back to base as soon I have enough for a sightstone, then I buy basic boots, then I buy a Chalice.

Before most games, I like to check this page: http://www.lolking.net/charts?region=all&type=bottom-synergy&range=daily&map=sr&queue=normal to see which one of my 3 main supports is the best for the situation.

My main weakness seems to be not paying enough attention during certain times like forgetting to ward dragon or checking a bush while knowing there's a high possibility an enemy is in there.

I can hit most skillshots from my 3 main supports. I usually fire where I think the enemies are going and not where they are since they will try to dodge. For example, I like to put my Soraka Q under where the enemies are going or behind them so when they see it they will try to run back and run into it (I had a couple of players compliment me about that).

For every game, the first thing I do is the try to get to the bush in the Dragon's river and put down a ward as soon as the announer says "minions will spawn in 30 seconds" (52 seconds before buffs spawn) then go into the bush near bot lane until the leash monsters are about to spawn, then go to leash the jungler.

I'll end here. So for your perspective, am I good enough to try to play my ranked provisionals and am I a good support? If not, what should I do to improve? Thanks.

you seem to have a good grasp on how to play support and what needs to be done. as a support main myself i think you might like janna.

as to your ranked provisionals you have to remember you will be playing with other people so you might not be able to take support so you need to make sure even if you dont get support you will still bring a lot to the team. so make sure your rune pages can help you out in every lane and that you know at least one, if not more, champ that can play in any lane your forced into.

as a side note about provisionals....people put way too much pressure on doing good in them. if you plan on playing ranked this season it is best, imo, to jump in head first and find out where you stand. putting off doing them will make you expect higher results and most likely if you put off doing your provs. the results will not stack up to where you think you belong so it is better to get the shock out of the way early so you dont have to worry about it any more.

Sometimes I go 30 assists as jungle jarvan and put our supports to shame ;l looking good support dude... I hope atleast As someone who also plays soraka and sona I can tell ya, racking up assists and never dying is ridiculously easy imo more so than just about any other support

So I cant really judge you due to personal bias

I really suggest buying a stealth ward before you head out instead of 4 pots, and throw that ward into the river once your jungler is done with the first buff. This is a bout the same time the enemy jungler starts prowling and that ward will give you three minuets of vision on the most commonly used route into your lane. It also allows you to use your trinket in the lane bushes if the enemy support likes lurking there (particularly if they're Blitz of Thresh).

Also, upgrade your gold income item sooner; before you start on the chalice. It gives you a lot more sustain and gold; Generally speaking you want to do that after you get the sightstone. This is pretty important on Soraka as she now has *balls *for movespeed.

This is pretty good guide for Raka and has a lot of the advice I would share with you (flask is awesome, MS quints are also awesome), it is... very small though.

Your kill participation looks pretty good as does your win/loss ratio for normals, beyond that I don't have much to say since I'm just getting surface data. However, what I can tell you is: If you're comfortable, go for it, but be aware that unless you're first or second pick you will **have **to be flexible and possibly not get your preferred role. I mean, I've gotten three support mains (including myself) in a ranked lobby so like???

Good luck in ranked!!
