Is there like, a better way to kite than just clicking on way and clicking another? Especially as Kalista, because I could accidentally click in front of me(which happens often), and then I'm pretty much dead from that point. Is there another way to kite like that? I can get A+Click but that would only be for chasing, right?

Neo Cyrus1 votesShift is the default key along with 'A' for what they call attack move. Use it to kite rather than always clicking away then on the target. You can click away then hold shift or press A then click on the same spot, it makes for faster kiting (as in you won't need to move the mouse as much).
It's pretty much mandatory for Kalista, you can just hold shift and kite forever just by clicking in one direction.

Shift clicking does not better your kiting, all it does is provide an easy way out for players - you end up giving shift clicking up later on in the ranks.

Well, I know about that, but what about when you want to kite backward as they chase you? Does it just attack them and walk in that direction? And, what if there are minions nearby?

It will not 'prioritize' it will attack the closest thing in range to you.

Well, not any more. It's been updated so that it attacks the closest thing to your cursor.

Your kiting becomes muscle memory.
