Sound designers have to get creative when they're making literally every single layer of a sound manually.
Why was it a condom though... literally any latex bag should have made largely the same sound..?

Sound designers are insane. They can make the most convincing noises out of a boot and dog shit.
Probably one of my favorites moments of sound design (that I know of) has to be in Halo: Reach, when the Saber is entering space and you find out in a ViDoc that the rumbling noises during that cutscene were by shaking a desk.
Zac's sound effect history is now one of my favorites. Nice find!

You can whole-heartedly believe this as fact, and it would be appropriate to tell any who dispute these claims they need to go to college.

I mean, Deman of all people said it, and when asked who told him that he just said Praeco said it. Then another rioter proceeded to say that was probably just Praeco trolling.
No confirmation either way on it being a troll or serious, so it's just a second hand account from someone who had no relation to sfx. As such it really shouldn't be stated as a fact.
