One time what i was trying out jungler for the 1st time, i used the standard item 3341 and item 2043 and OCCASIONALLY used a item 2044 ...until i noticed that i was CONSTANTLY sweeping away enemy wards..like the entire enemy team were warding..but MY TEAM placed 0 wards aside from the occasional trinket. they always took out my pink wards within minutes of me placing them. they had all of the vision, it was nearly impossible for me to gank any lane. i was constantly getting invaded on by the enemy jungler, i fell so far behind i may as well had just afk'd or something i was soo useless. and i was sweeping more wards than i could throw down..i ended up using 90% of my gold on item 2044 so i couldn't finish any item, i was forced to buy a item 2049 AND upgrading to a item 3364 with 2 item 2043 on me at all times, eventually but it was too late..we ended up ff@20........

And the worst part about this was that i got yelled at by my team for complaining about lack of vision, in our own jungle, and the fact that i didn't gank as often as i should have, despite the fact that each time i tried, the enemy could see me approaching from a mile away, would either end up counter jungling me, or just backing off to their turret...

I hate when im mid I buy a pink to help the jglr and then when they enemy jglr tries to destroy it my jglr doest even try and help protect it, no ones tries to protect the pinks! drives me crazy

We all get that. I notice in the vast majority of games where I'm over 50 percent of the warding it results in a loss.

There's no reason why the support should be doing all of the warding, and it's not realistic. Earlier this Rek'sai I was playing with was complaining that we didn't have enough wards, so I press tab and look at their items. And what do you know, they don't have an upgraded trinket that costs 250 gold but they're taking the time to whine about not enough vision. As the support, I keep dragon and or baron warded, so that does not leave me with many wards left over for the entire map mid game.

Warding matters, do it people. If you see someone tell a support with Sightstone to ward in your games, everyone tell them that it is also their job to ward as soon as possible.

I get where you're coming from bro I main AD and when I get caught out because I didn't have wards (Which I've been working on buying wards) I don't go to blame my support a lot of ADC's act like the support is our slave and they only help you no one else on the team.

The worst I've seen is a Teemo who bought 1 stealth ward and placed 1 stealth ward the entire 40 min match. He had a yellow trinket ...

The real problem is that playing the game doesn't teach you the game. Many people spend 100+ games getting to 30 and never learn the map, objs or propper vision control. When you call out the poor play, they just respond with something about being toxic.

I used to be surprised that many people don't even understand why std lanes exist i.e. why is bot lane usually a duo adc and sup and not a solo fighter or ap carry?

It's not a hard game to learn and poor play deserves to be called if if Riot refuses to provide any sort of offical training tools.

I don't know how to find old threads but basically one of the people who down voted and posted in my thread told me it's not going to make much difference if new players get a better tutorial incorporating wards because you don't really learn anything from the tutorial that sticks with you when you get up to the higher levels. I explained to him that isn't true because I learned about last hitting in the tutorial and that stuck with me as well as turret range and buying pots and he called me stupid. It's those kinds of people that I don't want new players to become which is why the tutorial needs to be changed. You cannot build a good house without a solid foundation.

Yesterday in the middle of a game the mid laner said "please upgrade your trinkets to help the sup out". I had already had mine upgraded since level 9. Needless to say the game ended with only me having the upgrade.

Lol i had a Vayne adc who did the same thing except the only reason was because she was getting caught out in our own jungle the entire game and eventually says "Upgrade your trinkets now" as if she was referring to everyone.

Long story short, she didn't upgrade sh** nor did she buy any wards. We lost, and she continued to feed and harass me for wards, and in the end i was the only one with an upgraded Sweeper and (Now Ruby)SightStone.....

item 3361 changed my life (and my elo). Vision is just so important in the game and I can't tell you how many tied or losing games have been completely turned around by a single green ward that I had dropped moments earlier. A self-recharging sightstone that doesn't take up an item slot has to be one of the greatest additions ever made in League.

Ward = 75 gold Trinket Upgrade = 250 Gold

75 + 75 + 75 + 75 = 300 Gold

Place four upgraded wards and your trinket is worth it.

well trinket upgraded wards only last 2/3 as long as a normal ward. considering you get 1 ward from free trinket anyways, you would need to place 8-10 wards for it to be worth it.

Interesting point.

So 300 gold gets you 4 x 3minutes of vision = 12 minutes of vision

Divide the 300 gold by the 12 minutes of vision and you're getting 25 gold per minute of vision. (I just realized you could get the same MoV percent by using 1 ward, 3 min, for 75 g._

At 250 gold for an upgrade, that's 25g x 10 minutes, so you need 10 minutes worth of vision to make the upgrade worth it.

2 minutes for upgraded wards, that's 5 upgraded wards for your trinket to have paid itself off. Once you place the 6th ward, you're getting better value per MoV than if you had spent the gold on straight up wards.

That's not taking into account the free wards, or the variable of location for ward placement.

As general tip about warding, As the mid laner, buy a pink ward, place it on your side of the River, the nearest your blue buff in the river.

I dont understand the relevance.

People who upgrade trinkets most likely will ward because they know to spend gold on upgrading trinkets so they can place more wards.

People who don't ward are those who don't even bother to upgrade trinket at all.
