Master Yi - Warrior over devourer?
It used to be undisputed that Devourer was better. However I'm not sure anymore. With full attack speed runes and zerkers, Yi already can hit 2.0+ attack speed with warrior and the typical build (bork+ghostblade) while ulting and active on. Warrior gives him Q scaling, extra true damage on E, extra CDR. This means that his clears will be MUCH faster and safer. In addition, it gives more flat armor pen to stack with ghostblade for mid-game squishy melting and to help late game crits, as well as 20 more on-hit damage to start. The brutalizer component allows him to be a pretty scary ganker even with longswords and blue smite, while no one is scared of Yi with daggers.
I noticed that with devourer, before I get a vamp scepter, I still take damage from the jungle which leaves me around 70%-80% HP, while I can keep almost full with warrior. From my testing, Master Yi with Warriors seems to have a much earlier power spike than Devourer, while late game still being relatively tanky with 1-2 defensive items.
A drawback is that Yi has to take greaves with Warriors, but devourer opens up defensive boot options. Also, with devourer scaling, you can afford to take 2 defensive items (usually Randuins+GA or banshees) with no decrease in damage, instead of having to make late game compromises about damage vs. tankiness (with warrior I usually build BoRK+Ghostblade+Warrior+Greaves+Randuins+situational).
Thus, I think that Warrior should be a safe pick, either while behind or even, while Devourer should be only taken if you are snowballing like mad and thus able to get stacks from kills/assists. What do you guys think?
