i almoust reached lvl5 of mastery with him which is some games of experience and i think that i lost most of them i can rank up the most damage in my team, but owerall i dont think like im doing any good
if there are any successfull ekko players here i would like to describe me what is your way of playing the guy
There are various ways to play him. I've done all types of builds so far and have different thoughts on them all. I should also note that all of these work in the jungle too, just have to sacrifice one of the items for a jungle item. (this might be a big post, but hey, I have nothing better to do)
Glass Cannon AP/Mid lane
General Build (in no specific order, usually get echo or lich bane first (or sheen then echo)

I like this build obviously for a lot of burst, but it's also really really squishy and if you get stunned on an even playing field then it's pretty easy to die. With this build you can't really go into the middle of the enemy team and just expect to ult out and live, stuns are your enemy. I generally feel like the glass cannon build is best for just poking with your q then if someone gets hit twice you can usually kill them with your E (so it procs your passive as well) and it does huge damage then you have the movement speed to run out and then repeat. Even though sitting there and auto attacking means your passive will proc more often, its hard to do it with a squishy build.
Tankier AP/Mid or Top
Items can be swapped out accordingly to your needs(boots/iceborn/and liandrys are all possible to swap out), these items just provide you with health and resistances that would allow you to auto attack and stay in the battlefield longer.
AD/Attack speed/Top

Triforce is really really good on ekko when going for AD, low cooldown spells for the sheen proc. Phage movement speed makes it really hard for your enemies to run so you can keep smacking them to proc your passive. I usually use hybrid pen marks when I go ad on ekko.
My absolute favorite item build on ekko/Top
On ekko, I love doing this item build (mostly for the cheese). With triforce you are instantly more mobile, then you get frozen mallet and then hardly anyone can escape from you. constantly being slowed from frozen mallet + your Q then stealing their movement speed with your passive it makes you extremely hard to escape from. Even though there isn't any lifesteal in this build it makes you exceptionally well at picking off people 1v1. If you did want lifesteal you could always get an early vamp scepter and instead of getting maw later on you can get hydra or bork instead of wits end. I just love the idea of being able to 1v1 almost anybody and being able to survive in teamfights peeling for the carry (dem slows) and being able to jump on the enemy adc making them focus more on me. If I'm in danger in the teamfight then chronoshift will help me survive longer to make them focus me more instead of the team, and if they don't focus me then they die because of the damage that comes from the build. Everything except the boots provide defensive and offensive stats.
