Pick an ADC for me

MrSlowDie·11/7/2014, 7:13:53 AM·1 votes·3,529 views

Leona Alistar Riven Khazix Katarina

^^^ my fav champ

so I am looking for a second ADC !! already bought (and enjoy)

Twitch

my biggest concern is an ADC that scale well with teamfight. In contrary with my fav champ above, I love ADC that can poke from safe range rather than jump in and kill everyone. Aside from that, I want as similar as possible.

already tested and enjoy

Caitlyn Varus

already tested and hate

Tristana KogMaw Ashe

who is more viable ?? so who should I buy ?? Cait ?? varus ?? or you have a better champion that most likely fit my playstyle ?? need advice !!

I saw the title of this thread and thought: "I can't wait to recommend Twitch some more!" but I can see now that you already know that he's awesome.

Maybe you can tell us more about what aspects of Tristana, KogMaw, & Ashe you didn't like as much to help narrow down your preferences?

From my experience

Caitlyn is a very VERY safe adc to play as and can harass and dominate most other carries and their supports with just her auto attack range and her E, but the thing about her is that she will most likely get out scaled by the carry she's against unless you and your team ends the match when you have the advantage

Varus has much more utility than cait does and have a better and stronger poke than she does in laning(at the cost of more mana) the only thing is his ult is practically the only means of escape, while he does offer alot to his team. he's very vulnerable to being focused in team fights. But since you main twitch you already know that risk

Then there is Jinx who not only have safety but can alot of power and count out trade most carries like cait does(if she's used properly) her passive kinda counts as an escape as it gives you a HUGE speed boost enabling you to finish off fleeing enemies, to escape, or reposition in team fights her ult is practically garen's but it flies as you can use it to finish off far off targets.

It seems that you're looking for an adc with alot of late game potential so i would say your best pick is with varus or jinx

Vayne , Urgot & Draven have been so good to me.

Seems you like stuns and burst damage. Sivir is pretty bursty, but Jinx has hard cc AND a nasty finisher, not to mention great dps. Maybe try her?

Personally, I recommend Quinn, but she is pretty unpopular as an ADC, in addition to being difficult to play in that role. You really need to know how to handle her, as she has pretty short range compared to pretty much every other ADC, also her ult puts you in melee range. It helps to have a good support (I have found that Leona works very well with Quinn)

Have you tried Corki yet? He has strong ranged harass, good waveclear, an movement ability, armor reduction, and mixed damage (physical, magical, and true). He can be a strong bully early in the game, but he can also farm safely when behind. He has a very strong midgame after finishing Trinity Force and is still pretty good late in the game because it can be difficult to itemize against him and he's fairly safe.

I recommend Vayne or Lucian .

You seem to like champions with huge damage and safety mechanics, so Caitlyn can still work for you.

At the moment, neither Caitlyn nor Varus are super top tier picks, it seems, but Caitlyn is more popular at higher levels than Varus, not sure how much of that is due to power or preference, though. Both are very strong if played correctly, though. Between Cait and Varus, I feel like Varus is more like Twitch, since Varus detonates his blight stacks sort of like how Twitch has stacks of his poison. I feel like Varus is better at poking since his Q direction can be less telegraphed than Caitlyn's; Caitlyn is more about controlling a lane with her traps and bullying the other laner out (she has a harder time in mid-game/teamfights if she doesn't get ahead of the other laner). Varus has a harder time currently simply because he has less mobility, but if you're good with Twitch (who also has very little defensive ability, since his stealth takes so long to activate when he's taking damage, and he only has a slow), Varus shouldn't be much different, I think.

Maybe also give Ezreal or Corki a try? Both are good mid-game ADCs that can safely poke from range. I'm personally waiting for Kalista to come out, she might be your best bet since her E functions a lot like Twitch's E, and she has ranged poke with Q, but she's still pretty new (and still in PBE) so not sure how she'll scale into teamfights. Like Tanukihero said, Jinx is also a great hypercarry with good poke with Fishbones and Zap!, and, like Twitch, if she can stay safe in a teamfight, she'll do some serious damage.

Wait for the new champion to come out

I'm thinking CatCaitlyn for you.

Corki has become an extremely dominant pick lately. There's also Draven, who scales extremely well at all levels of the game. Of course, you can also wait for Kalista to come out.
