Sightstone on Jungers

I was wondering if people thought it might be a good for me to always buy a Sightstone on my junglers due to the fact that in low elo nobody ever seems to ward correctly or even at all...including the supports (I just recently got put into Silver V from my first time playing ranked/provisionals). What's people's thoughts on Sightstones on junglers outside of Lee Sin?...whom I do not play.

Not worth it. I agree that it sets you behind from getting one of your core items, while getting unpredictable returns for the set back since you never know if those your trying to help will even pay attention with or without the ward there. As the jungler, I have my certain places that I worry about warding for my own production and safety, which requires little in gp cost to maintain considering you have a ward trinket option and ward from gp jungle item already.

Any other warding is to assist those in lane. And if they don't find the vision worth their gold, mine isn't going to do much either. Besides, with any luck they'll learn the hard way about why everyone has a responsibility to ward. For their own benefit and that of the team lol

I honestly have never played jungle in ranked...but I wouldn't mind it. I only asked because every game I'm not support...I think maybe 2 wards go out the entire time that don't belong to me. Of course half the time I'll place the wards to show vision...and people ignore the vision and get ganked even when they should have seen it coming.

Only time i would consider buying it is on a support style jungler like nunu. On carry jungler's i wouldn't get it because your setting your build back. I will say though as a jungler make sure you always have a pink on the map and try to get a green ward on every back if possible.

I would definitely advise doing so as a Sightstone is such a good asset to the team. Not only do you bring extra wards for the team but you will also benefit from the money you save from not having to buy wards.

Only worth if you are on a ranked team that knows what is doing, i agree vision wins games but you need to carry in lower elos and sightstone will not help with that, rather get an offensive item.

If you're not ganking (farming/counter-jungler), you could use a SS for extra map control, but this is theorycrafting.

On LeeSin it is spectacular, though.

Its a great idea, but no... its a waste of a stat in solo Que. its 800 Gold that could've helped u itemize. I usually buy 2 wards on each back, and altho more costly this way, in the end, u dont need to ward everywhere, u just need proper warding locations. But up to you, if you're Lee sin, then that could work.

in the jungle i prefer having the trinket ward and the quill coat ward along with purchased wards. I don't think a sight stone is necessarily a bad buy, but i prefer to spend on a pink ward (which lasts) and other items.

Trinket ward donated to lanes, quill coat ward for enemy jungle vision, purchased green wards for our jungle defence, and a pink ward in river death brushes for drag/baron control and to see where enemy mid laner goes.

I like to buy it if I go golem, but recently I haven't been playing champions that require (or that I like to buy with) golem.

Rammus is one I like to buy sightstone on for instance.

I think sightstone on tank junglers is perfect for the early game, but if you're trying to build SOME damage early, then probably not.

It's a pretty great buy on Nunu, Eve, Gragas and the like. On other junglers, I only like getting it when I'm far enough ahead for the 400 gold to not make any difference in fights.

But yeah, generally a pretty great item.
