How to turn a game around when we gain a teamfight advantage?

I'll give some back story so you can explain to me how you would have handled this situation:

Here is the match history: http://matchhistory.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/#match-details/NA1/1594976939/205666521

Thus far both teemo and I have been winning lane with Maokai bringing in some decent ganks but Fiora not fairing so well. Bottom lane isn't doing so well, with Fiddlesticks feeding Ashe Graves is having a difficult time farming. I don't begrudge Fiddlesticks, he was on a new character and Leona is a much better support than Fiddle, so he didn't do anything wrong, however, Ashe is sitting on a lot of money. However, she fumbles the advantage when she decides to build 2 infinity edges back to back then a blood thirster. So, while she hits hard, she doesn't hit very often, and being squishy with no escape, all the money she had gotten was wasted. However, the problem came in mid lane. I had been beating Mord in lane, however when Ashe and Leona started to roam and Fiora joining them, it quickly became a 4v2(maokai came) in mid lane and despite putting up a good struggle, they were still able to beat down our door and take out our inhib using nothing more than attrition. They kept roaming and systematically took out all of our turrets minus the top inhib and nexus turrets. So, with two inhibs down and all map control lost, we could only hold up. However, as a group we were able to win teamfight after teamfight and were quickly catching up in gold. However, with all but 3 of their turrets standing and one, sometimes two inhibs down, it was difficult to leave the base and make a push. The game lasted 35 minutes, so respawn timers were short enough that it wouldn't give us time to make the trip to their turrets and with an inhibitor constantly down leaving as a group wouldn't have been wise. So, there was never a clear point to take advantage of our teamfight wins.

What would you have done? Is this an unwinnable scenario due to the difference in objective control?

Well, first things first - you should tell us what champion you were playing. I know we can see that in the game info, but would be helpful to see it in the actual post as well.

And it would also show up first thing you could've done: Roam. You were playing Ahri mid, she's an mage-assassin that's very good at roaming and helping other lanes rank up in kills. The bottom lane was struggling, so you really should've went there and help them.

After they got a hefty advantage in both kills, farms and objectives it was going to be a hard game to win. The teamfight potential was pretty even, with their team having Malphite and Leona for AoE CC and you had Maokai and Fiddle for AoE damage, but since the advantage was on their side, it was clear who should've been winning fights (but they weren't which implies they were doing some serious mistakes).

And as for the double IE Ashe... Well, that's strange to say the least, but it's not as bad as it may seem. The Volley damage is increasing significantly with a build like this (though, if that's what she was aiming for, she should've build more CDR) and the first crit was hitting hard for sure (+240 AD from IE, IE and BT), but her DPS suffered greatly due to the lack of attack speed.

Anyway, in order to win this after being in such a disadvantage... It's not really what you guys were supposed to do - enemies had to make some major mistakes in order to lose this (which happens quite often).

More dragons would have helped. The other team was not bothering with them considering they only got one.

Here is a game that did turn around after the other team taking a large number of objective: http://matchhistory.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/#match-details/NA1/1534354337/218693738

It was turned around because we made sure to farm as much as we could between fights and our jungle would secure dragons and our buffs if they were up. (though there was one point they should have been able to end, but J4 decided to auto the nexus for insignificant damage rather than peeling Fiora off Caitlyn) Then once had the items to make the main threat on their team (Viktor, and three of of built Banshee Veil by the 40 minute mark) less problematic, we forced an engage near Baron and took it after winning the fight.

If you can get enough farm and/or objectives between team fights to keep winning, then the only issue is if the other team tries to back door. Avoid fighting away from your base if possible.

Playing very defensively works better the harder your team out scales the enemy, but not very well if they scale better. http://matchhistory.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/#match-details/NA1/1526956939/218693738 (Namely Sejuani and I could 2v5 their team by the end. As an aside the Sejuani was the same person playing Fiora in the previous link)

In the specific game you linked, if Fiddle had built Hourglass he could have used it while ulting to increase his chance of surviving team fights. Then he could solo dragon/baron.
