What sort of team comp does she work well in.
She herself is a very defensive champ that excels at safe wave clearing and bursting initiators. Used well she can cover an entire team with her AoE damage. So, to summerize, AoE and splitpushing comps.
What is her main strength.
Eh, hard to say a specific. I'll stay behind her wave clear post-6 as the top-most strength but her high point-n-click nuke of an E and her high AoE presence is also notable. She's a high utility mage with a decent amount of damage in both single and multi-target.
Her main weakness is a lack of speed and escape. She can slow, sure, but she's also has one of the slowest base MS in the game (325). Malphite of all people is faster than her.
How can i kill people who have an escape, is it at all possible to 1v1 someone?
anything else you could say would be a great help to get started.
Her Q has a neat trick that can seriously help with trading. It can double hit. Let the Q projectile move through the minion wave/champion first and then detonate for additional damage. It makes a bug difference.
1v1'ing with Anivia completely revolves around using her E's double damage effect (nuke on chilled targets). The things that can trigger this is her Q and her ult. Don't bother using it without a chilled effect unless it's a killing blow. One trick, knowing this, is that you can actually send out her E and then immediately place your ult down to chill the target before the E projectile hits. The E checks for the 'chill' debuff on collision not on cast, so you'll do double damage.
As such it's difficult to get the damage out before her ultimate is available, as her Q is the only way to chill. Doubled with her absurd mana thirst, Anivia will have a crap pre-6 naturally. But she bounces back hard once she's 6 with a tear and a RoA (or catalyst if you're behind). Before 6, foucs on farming and save your Q for when they jump on you and/or you get ganked. Don't bother going on the offensive until you have your ult. Once you're there play the minion push game. Clear waves nigh instantly and keep them pushed (don't forget to ward at this point!!!) and shove until the turrets down. They'll attack you at least once during this, and if they've used their gap closer to go towards you, well, that means they're right whwre you want them. Play around your ult, nuke the crap outta them and walk/fly away with a kill.
Also, if you have to decide between your flash and your passive proccing. Flash. Flash has a fraction of a cd compared to your ult and it'll be back up sooner.
