Tips and tricks for LeBlanc?

Well, I've been thinking about playing LeBlanc more, but I'm having trouble deciding how to play her, and usually wind up feeding.

So, does anyone have tips for her, such as what spell to max first and what items to build? Maybe rune and mastery pages as well.

Devack,

Leblanc is a highly versatile assassin. You should be able to wqe sometime in lane and get them to half health or lower before reverting to w. Keep in mind this is by no means her only combo, nor should you participate in such linear thinking as "how can I pull off this combo and this combo only" I've seen leblancs do crazy things, IE : e and R(e)ing the laner and the jungle during ganks to escape, and then turning on the jungler for an easy kill. Because her R makes her kit extremely adaptable, it might be wise to take a victim (I mean friend) in duels, and get used to how she can combo, how long things take, e range and hitbox, etc. Beyond that, it'll just be quick analysis and reflexes for the situation, which will come with practice.

If you want/need further advice on LB, I do have a pair of Diamond friends that do free coaching you might be interested in :

Hey there, Leblanc is probably one of my favourite champions in LoL, while I'm only gold5 I'll try to help you out.

Skill order: Generally I like to max start with my W decent haras and more damage than Q , you can pull it off a bit faster than Q at level one so less haras, Q is more spam able but does less damage and more risk of getting hit. Normally getting Q second for better haras and lane control, grabing E third. So maxing W helps with mobility, burst and wave clear, however I normally throw in a second point into Q before maxing W. What you max second is totally up to you, both Q and E are decent choices but I like the quick single target burst and go for Q.

Build: Normally it's bet to grab athenes or morellonomicon, however I think most people would agree that morellonomicon is the better item all around at the moment. After that it's a good idea to grab DFG for the burst and from then on it's up to you to grab whatever ap items you'd like.

Lane-Phase: Leblanc has a super strong lane with the exception of wave clear and farming. Shes a lane bully and has huge burst, the best combo to harass with is Q and then proc it with W. Some enemies will be smart about this however and will interrupt or stay out of range of your burst. If people are interrupting your combo don't just try to aim at them with W, use W as a tool for reposition for your E and make use of the combo described before or keep them guessing and use your W at different angles, don't always try to hit them dead center of your W making it easy for them to cancel your combo, hit them with the very edge of your W. It can also be a good idea to go in with W and start combining QER or some other variations (QRE, REQ etc...). However this method of haras is rather expensive so use it carefully.

Roaming: In short: roaming is your friend. As Leblanc you become a huge threat and source of pressure when you roam. In general it's good to focus botlane but the problem is that it will most likely be warded. I find that warding the enemy jungle is great, if you catch him you might just get a free blue buff. Ganking top lane can be really effective, if you top laner is Ad the enemy top lane will most likely not be building MR making your ganks pretty devastating, especially given how hard most top laners snowball.

Quick Tips:

-Make use of the range on your E, distortion in, hit them with E and jump back to your start location to avoid damage (The range on E is huge once it hits and surprises a lot of players). -Late game if the adc doesnt have banshees, most of the time you can W in DFG+Q+R for the kill -Dont always use W as your dmg(its super predictable), sometimes its worth it to use it to reposition without dealing any dmg and leave Q, E, and R and AAs to do dmg -If your lane isn't going too well roams are your best friend -If you hit 6 before the opponent, hit them as hard as you can, most of the time you wont have enough burst to kill them (Unless they've already taken a lot of damage) but you will send them back letting you hit 7 maybe 8 before they even hit 6 which is when you should go for the kill with ignite, just be careful of what they bought because they might out dmg you.

99% of games - max your distortion (W) for waveclear and the shorter cooldown 1% of games - max your sigil (Q) for poke in lane and higher damage trades (basically if you can't afford to go in melee range of your opponent and you're farming under turret most of the lane phase)

Items: Generally I build morellonomicon first. The CDR and mana regen is really useful, and since it has 80 AP you still generally have enough to blow people up with your ult.

Second I like DFG. You can also build zhonyas here if you think you need it, but DFG will let you 1 shot pretty much anyone without a full magic resist item at this stage of the game.

Third you want your hat. The only exception here would be if the enemy team is stacking MR, in which case void staff before hat would be better.

Final Build: (morello, DFG, hat, void, zhonyas, sorc shoes)

Some people may do it differently but I find that style to be very strong for me. I'm able to ult twice in a lot of teamfights due to rushing to 35% CDR and your distortion is up very frequently to reposition, escape, and assassinate. You have enough AP to kill any squishy 100-0 with your ult, and you'll chunk about half of a tanks health with your combo (which conveniently comes up every ~10 seconds or so). Good luck, leblanc is a really fun champion!
