Why was Jinx chosen and not Syndra?
Seriously. Jinx wasn't even on the radar for SG skins, and she gets one?! What happened to all the Riot love for the Star Guardian Syndra concept?

Jinx actually had a pretty big Star Guardian concept following.
And people blow their load over Jinx all the time. I actually find it pretty annoying and really wished they would have gone with a different champion as well.
However, someone pointed out to me that Jinx fits the magical girl motif, in the sense that she is young and passionate. Also, there tends to be a character who used to be a villain in the group, so I guess she fits that role.
They needed an ADC role?
Edit: I think the better question is why pick Janna over Syndra?
Probably just had better ideas for jinx. Syndra would be stretched to have a 1820 quality skin for this skin line. It's not nearly as drastic of a change to get add it is to jinx thematically.

Why syndra and not jinx? Because you like syndra? Well i like jinx. I get your champ didnt get a skin, but that doesnt mean other champs should be hurt by that.
Honestly syndra would be way better at dark star themr than star guardian, even the concept art is meh..
Why would they pick Syndra over Jinx? Syndra concept was bland and uninspired while Jinx actually took some creativity to make her fit the theme.
Jinx gets so much fan art splooge that making her the centre of a skin line will launch a billion cosplays and pictures. Sad, but true. She's one of those attention hog champions that grab all the spotlight.
Well, someone was going to be disappointed with this skin line considering the requests: Soraka, Riven, Syndra, Nami ... Actually every female champions seems to have at least one post requesting a SG skin. (Mine was Soraka cmon it's so fittin)
Dunno if Riot focuses on this, but every SG skin seems to possess a wand or long weapon (poppys hammer, Jinx gun) and feature a champion that visually is a fairly young girl, which could be the reasons SG Syndra is not a thing (maybe Justicar as well).
They're going to expand this line the same way they've been doing tons of PROJECT stuff, I think. Syndra will be in the next round.
What makes Syndra any better of a pick than Jinx?
Maybe next year Syndra will get her star guardian skin (like they did with project) and i hope it's a legendary. MY OPINION: If you hear her VO it doesn't really fit a star guardian.
