I once had a Twitch...

I once had a Twitch in ranked as Leona. He had dc'd for the first five minutes.

I was left in bot lane, with the occasional gank from Jarvan who was raging at the missing ADC. Despite this, I managed to secure First Blood on their Quinn, and was feeling pretty comfortable. Once Twitch made it back into the game, he had admitted that his computer had crashed on him during loading, and was pretty apologetic. I wasn't mad and didn't rage, since I had made their bot lane's lives pretty miserable by this point. I simply told him to farm to catch up, and let me worry about the enemy. Sure enough, as soon as they spotted the level 1 Twitch, they tried to focus him, only to meet one VERY p*ssed-off Mama Leona. I score a kill on Sona with Twitch getting a kill on Quinn about a minute later. By this point, even Jarvan was hopeful about this game, and I turned into a juggernaut with my first death coming around the 13 minute mark. By the end, we had turned a 4v5 into a 5v5 pubstomp, and Twitch was very appreciative of his support.

To think that this was in Bronze 5... Now, if only more games as support in this tier went as good, I might enjoy ranked more.

The lesson here is: Don't rage at the guy who DC'd at the start, unless they did it to be a d*ck. There's still hope.

As long as they reconnect early enough for it not to really matter.

The lesson here is: Bronze 5 supports should DDoS their AD carries to increase their chances of winning lane.

Fixed that for you ;)

And if you can't tell, I'm kidding. Congrats and good job.

I had a vlad that dced for 25 minutes. "Oh sorry, my loading screen froze." Yeah for 25 fucking minutes.

Oh, and my favorite excuse "Sorry i had the volume off" or "Sorry I forgot i started a game." really nigga?

Bronze 5, well that explains how sona and quin did not make mince meat out of you

I played a game where i had to solo bot as thresh, while we had a shen that was intentionally feeding. He ran mid and gave kills to a kat that soon rushed mejais. We still ended up winning the game even though shen was 0-32 with 6 boots.

Don't rage at the guy who DC'd at the start

I try to avoid raging to begin with, but I think it might be acceptable to be a little miffed when the first action of the guy who joins the game at 20 minutes is to push their lane to turret and die. That seems to be how most people handle their DCs.

Thanks for leaving the match history for us. That's always a nice detail to the story and I really appreciate getting the nitty-gritty of matches. PS: Building against the AD. Goooooooood. Let the tanky damage flow through youuuuu.

I once got dced as thresh and didn't reconnect until everyone was lv 9. My team had lost two turrets but hadn't fed or given up and we turned around the game quite decisively.

I once had a power outage for 20 minutes as Kha. When I respawned everyone on my team assisted me and got me 4 kills. But we still lost.

I played some games last night, just normals, but infuriating as a support. I know why people hate playing it now. Its because the entire team typically either under appreciates you, or blames you anything bot lane...and blames you for any roaming or lack thereof. I see this a lot with jungle as well. Congrats on your one game of people actually working together :)

One time my client completely messed up while I was loading a ranked match and I was so upset for not being there. I missed the first twenty minutes because my client wouldn't let me reconnect. After reconnecting, my team was super friendly and I was of course, very apologetic. My team said that "they were hoping I would be back" and I was. There was no negativity. And we ended up winning and I landed a lot of my bubbles since my team was not raging. It was a great experience.

How I respond to a DC from the start who returns: WB, try to farm up

How my team usually responds to the same person: "Report X, afk" which turns into "report X, feeder" when they leave him alone to die

Well I mean... okay, good job I'm glad it didn't ruin the game for you... but what you're saying is you fought an incredibly incompetent bronze 5 enemy bot lane and won. Leona can't 1v2 a bot lane that's remotely close to the same skill level...

Spacesuit Spiff4/9/2015, 1:57:44 AM1 votes

Nice job. support vs the world lanes are sometimes interesting, if you can goad them into diving you early so you can snowball.

I have a more cynical story: I was smurfing and my adc dc'd for the first 10 minutes. Lane went alright, I got a level advantage and made some trades and slowly won lane... and then my adc came back, saw the enemies I'd softened up, and immediately tower dove at level 1. Over and over and over. After being baited into tower diving multiple times, he finally hit level 2, and tower dove some more.

No moral to this, just... don't smurf unless you're hurting for ridiculous stories to tell.

I once came in 15 minutes into a game after a series of really bad crashes. I was playing Vayne. My team was super chill and just defended base while I farmed up starting from a 9 level disadvantage, give or take.

I actually managed to carry the game-- only because my teammates let me build up and covered for my late entry. They let me farm lanes that got into 3rd turret, they fed me kills, they covered for me when I was out of position, they warded like mad. Positive energy was the name of the game, and they let me become the late game monster that Vayne can become and then peeled for me through every positioning mistake. We won a bunch of team fights and eventually the game; a hard earned but well deserved (at least for my team) victory.

This was with mid gold players for the record. No game is ever hopeless from a setback with or without a skill difference.

Twitch with a Jarvan/Leona front line is pretty damn scary, I'm not too surprised.

AFK Push4/9/2015, 11:40:50 AM1 votes

I cringe everytime that I see a tank support go item 3117 and item 3068. Just get item 3009, so you will maintain that speed.

Flemman4/9/2015, 2:47:00 PM1 votes

to be fair, if the wukong was smart, he should have punished bot instead of dc of rage after the twitch came back :D

Honestly, a sona/quinn botlane should never lose against a lonely leona, but good work in making their lives miserable :p

This has nothing to do with this thread, but every time I read the title, I want to try to make a limerick out of it.
