I can't beat Vayne as a solo laner/jungler.

It doesn't seem to matter how bad my bot lane sets the enemy Vayne behind. If we can't end the game before 30 minutes, a BoRK/PD/boots Vayne can still wreck a 3-4 items Graves/other early game ADC and most bruisers. Last game I played our team's Vayne didn't even buy an IE. Instead she used the "safe Vayne" build of and had DOUBLE the damage of the enemy ADC who was full damage. She hard carried a game we had no business winning while building extremely conservatively.

In the case I'm on the other side of the table against a Vayne as a solo laner or jungle bruiser, how can I most effectively shut her down or limit her effectiveness so my ADC can stay relevant late game?

item 3110 item 3143 are the only 2 things to slow her down, literally, 95% of her damage comes from autoattacks (This includes Brok-Silver Bolts, the fastest way is to AA ppl to death).

Once she ranks ult at lvl 2 with a item 3153 and a item 3046 she outduels\outdamages any ADC, she's a problematic champion that, if it wasn't that she has an awful lanephase, she would be P\B, ever played "protect the vayne" teamcomp?

You can afford to take more than one support\tank and she goes full damage, she has enough damage to cover another champ and half.

Again, those 2 items above are the only thing that can help you and your team, also upgrade Sweeping lens at lvl 9 to deal with her invisibility.

Playing Malphite and effectively landing his E onto her cripples her atk speed to render her useless for the duration.

Group and force teamfights. Vayne is better at skirmishing but her range is low in teamfights meaning she has to put herself in a pretty dangerous position to do relevant amounts of damage. Always bring some vision when you're teamfighting. Pink ward or a sweeper to make sure she can't juke you with her stealth. It's a lot like an Akali teamfight, you either beat her stealth mechanic and blow her up or you let her run around murdering everything in sight.

to name a few, can all make a Vayne player really pretty sad.

item 3362 / item 2043 , item 3110 and item 3143 are pretty essential against her.

I got stuck solo-laning against her for the first time as Cassi top a few days back. She started tower-diving me at level 3. LEVEL 3! There was literally nothing I could do to her, and the only CS I ended up with was whatever my W managed to steal from the turret.

And then I hit level 6. Even with practically nothing built and her sitting at 5 kills (she went roaming early), I could kill her inside an ult stun. For the rest of the game it was just a matter of catching her in a stun and spamming E to the face.

darius crippling strike recks her good. he also can duel her and oneshot her with good build if you flash on her, as his hook cancels flashes and tumbles.
