What Do You Max First On Jax?

SuicideJ··2 votes·3,293 views

And why? Is there a damage or cooldown reason to pick Q over W or vice versa? I want to use him in the jungle. I always max his W first in top lane. But jungle works differently.

usually you want to max w because you want the lower cooldown since its one of your main damage sources and i believe its base damage goes up to pretty good amount when you max it. but i think e max is a thing in certain matchups i just dont remember which.

I wanna use him in jungle since top is overloaded kits galore and I wanna leave that to players who play with overloaded kits..

I typically would suggest Maxing your W first. But I ALWAYS start the game with E. I go E > W > Q, then W > W > R. Level 6.

I edited the beginning with regards to jungle xD Sorry about the forgetfulness!

tip, count your autos. once your lv 6 hit a minions twice then w-q-aa for amazing burst, this combo works especially well when you finish trinity because you'll be getting a shen proc as well. but remember jax is by far no early game champion, just passively farm if the opportunity to harass (their main damage skill is on cd) then go for it.

remember: hit lv 6. auto a minion twice, empower with w, q to jump on the champion, then aa, if the champion is prepared to stand his/her ground then that is the perfect time to ult as you will gain about 50 armor at rank 1, should be enough to outsustain.

e > w > q > w > w > r > w > q > w > q > r > q ect.

get e first, max w first, then q, then e last

In jungle?

Yes. Only difference from top is the obvious change in item build. Sometimes if you're worried about them camping your buffs at the beginning of the game I will go E first then Q second to be able to escape with the jump and/or stun for the attack.

Typically, you max W against melee champions and you max Q against ranged champions when laning.

For jungling, I believe you max Q for the sticking potential and mobility.

E for cooldown and damage, It is a great tool for zoning and winning trades.
