Smite in top?
Played olaf in the jungle and noticed that having the smite slow and true dmg was really nice. Could I take smite top? Would it be too much of a drawback? The other similar options, ignite and exhaust have long cds.

It's usually taken top for Cinderhulk, which was nerfed a good amount so isn't very popular anymore. If you want it for dueling, you might just be better off with Ignite or Exhaust. Having Smite also means you should be frequently taking jungle camps, but if your allied Jungler is trying to get Devourer stacks you could be hurting him by doing so.
Just take into account the options before using it.
Olaf has his Q for slows, if you can land it reliably. Smite could work, and has been used top before, but there may be better options.
Teleport is currently the best option top as it give you map presence which you otherwise wouldn't have. Ignite is also better due to the simple fact that it has healing reduction, and with most top having some sort of sustain, having ignite can give you the slight edge you need to win the lane. Exhaust reduce their damage so it's also better.
Ignite could be viable if you didn,t have to sacrifice an item to have it be useful since the good item ( cinderhulk ) was nerfed and is now not all that good in the top lane !
