Many people are looking for secrets to Bard and tips on how to use him. These are mine and i hope you enjoy.

1, Bard is a utility support for the most part. so i think building him as an offtank is a pretty good strat. Relic shield can be used pretty easily with the Meep passive also so it is much easier for Bard To use the stacks of Relic Shield than a Thresh .

2, Alot of people seem to get Q or E in the beginning for escapes and for early bindings... but i prefer having an early Global Pressure Advantage.

I like to get his W healthpack first and put one in these locations

  • Top lane near turret or bush depending on matchup.
  • next to mid turret for Easy access to alittle health boost.
  • One by the Junglers first Big camp (Red or Blue) Since it will allow them to use it right after their start camp giving you your third W back and rdy to use. (you can only have 3 out at a time)

The reason i do this is because you want your team to be at ease, if they need abit of health to be able to do a sick trade then they have a nice fully charged health pack to go to to make it happen.

  1. Purple side favors Bards E so much because of the placement of the wall near your turret. very nice Gank Potential. Blue side has it abit more difficult but can be done. (Make sure everyone knows The gank plan)

  2. Bards E can be used to fish out some of the enemys cooldowns such as Jinx Snappers. once they use it your jungler can now come through an original gank direction and not have to deal with the Snappers. GREAT SUCCESS.

  3. I think the best time to collect chimes is when you make the enemy bot lane go back. ask your adc to push out wave and then go hunting. (Dont forget to drop a healthpack off at the other lanes since you have the speed to do it.

  4. Planning a chime route it important!!!

Many people look for chimes blindly. however Looking at your mini map for a trail of chimes would be the best thing to do. you get the speedboost of your life if you get 5 chimespeedstacks. (Just remember that You shouldnt stay too long or else you are going to miss ouut on some XP.)

To get back to lane easily you can use Magical Journey on some of the long walls that the Summoners rift Has to offer.

  1. Ulting: Bards ult can be very useful if you position and time it right. (Just like a Karthus Q you need to make sure it hits only where you want it to hit. so think ahead.) i am usually never in the situation where i need to use it on ourselves. i use it to stop opponents. use as an Ohmwrecker. or to stall dragon for the team to come.

I will be making a guide on the build i prefer to use but i hope this helps you all out. Bard is a very handy support you just need to think outside of the comfort zone.

Well, I think everyone understand how to play Bard now. Everyone doing the same strategies guide of how to get your chimes without risking the life of your teammates AND without losing any experiences. Telling us how to use your Journey's skill. Only tell us how to play him in early game. But the problem is the late game and team fight. I guess with Bard you should use him to ambush the other teams. But even if you do, you cannot count Bard as a teammates for help you in a fight. Because his skills have 0 damage and his healing in a direct fight is worthless without the 10sec cool down. You only have 2 or 3 cheem for your auto-attack and cool down is very long. Your binding is good to stop someone but no have damage. Your ULT can be really good. But really hard to place, mostly use it for "diving".

Most support actually have something to make them annoying. In a team fight you can just ignore him, unless if he got his ultimate, but most people (Myself) can't place it good.
