Ive been playing league since season three. I used my refunds thinking we got 3 each season... i could easily play more games to win the IP for the champ i do want but it is abit of a hastle having those champs you just dont use that you would want to trade for another.
i used all my refunds when i first started playing when i had no idea what i was doing and used them to refund 1350 ip champs
1 per season riot. That's all we want.
Well maybe 3 per season, but they don't need to carry over.
Can you imagine if other businesses only allowed 3 refunds per person per lifetime

I agree that we should get at least 1 refund per season. It's the least Riot could do since we put up with all the toxic and unbalance in the game.
It's not like refund means actual cash refund either. Still have to spend your rp on something...
I'd rather refund the skin for Nidalee that was purchased before her rework into a champion that I cannot STAND playing. But they won't go that far back and I'll continue to feel absolutely cheated.
That said- I'm working on owning all the champions for trading purposes in ranked/draft mode. I wouldn't refund a champion for IP.
I honestly think Rito should give us AT LEAST one every season. Having only three per account is dumb

My refunds were all spent on 450s when I was a noob in beginning of s3 :(
If anything more refunds should probably be tied to amounts of RP purchased not just given out. They really exist to relieve support from having to fix peoples mistakes, not so people could try stuff out or change their minds later.
Or atleast make them purchable in the shop.

I only used one of my refunds, and it was on Singed.

I've been playing since S3 as well, and used I believe one on Cho'gath, and the other with the free RP riot gives you when you first play. I had no idea what I was doing with the game, and doing something like 1 extra refund a year doesn't seem out of this world.
Yes! I used all of my refunds when some of my friends told me that buying champs with RP was a waste after the fact. Thought I'd get more after that season.
At the very least it should come with a tip for new players telling them that its better to save the refunds for later and more important use. I used my refunds on 1350 IP and 450 IP champs so it was essentially useless.

I used my first refund on Trist (lol) and then much later used the other two on two 6300 champs I didn't play so I could cash in on the rune sale. Then I bought them again (with IP).

I've spent a lot of money in this game to support it. I find it terrible customer service that after playing for 2 years and buying dozens of skins my life time refunds consist of 3 for when I change my mind and have long been used. Terrible customer service. It's not even a real refund, you keep the money it's just the RP which is technically not worth anything to you after it's sold : / It should be 3 per season option one, or you get more every "X" amount of RP you buy, if you don't want people who spend very little to get that many.

I have 2 refunds left, and I've been playing since fucking closed beta 2009.
If three chances didn't help you learn how to stop impulse buying and wasting money, getting more chances won't help. You just need to lose money until you learn.
The 3 refund system was to free up support staff from having to deal with a billion of "I bought this, now I don't want it!" emails.
Some people used it as a way to "test drive" skins. Some people used it to unlock seasonal promotional summoner icons, which became free once they refunded their purchases. Some people decided to cash in their refunds when their champ got nerfed, or when something better came along.
Whatever the case, Riot didn't care. It was their way of saying "Okay look, we've given you the tools to take care of the returns yourself, and you can do it up to three times". That's a fuck of a lot better than any other micro-transaction game would give you.
