Doing so is a huge lategame liability for the team. Even if the enemy mid is far behind you, their utility will more than make up for your lack of utility. And if you lose lane? its gg.

That means please don't play mid unless you are gonna snowball.

EDIT I deleted Lulu because I realized that she has strong CC and utility. I replaced her with Fizz because his burst is very unreliable and you're snowball reliant. Even then he has to be super far ahead to be good in teamfights.

very bad examples of this if you are complaining of lack of utility/aoe/cc why is lulu up there her Q deals aoe dmg, your q is a slow,your ult has a knockup and health boost to target, and you have a shield for allies and can make them move faster seriously why the heck is she on your list when she is literally the type of champ you want in your game by what you said in your post.

Fizz has burst AOE and CC Urgot has burst and CC Ezreal has burst and AOE.

Some people are gods with certain champs, and playing against their "counter" doesn't matter. Sometimes they won't be good in teamfights but will be great at 1v1. The game changes as do champions. You can build your team compilation accordingly or not.

You may not like these champs because you've experienced negativity associated with them. That does not mean they are bad champions and should not be played as certain roles.
