Thought's on Malzahar right now?

He just seem's to be really strong right now, at least in my experience. He doesn't do poorly against a lot of champs, and even if he does for some reason fall behind, you can easily farm wraiths no problem without taking any damage. He obviously has his problems, mainly no escape, and his ult if used at a poor time, but if you no how he works, it shouldn't really be a problem. Anyway, just thought I'd throw it out there and see what you guys thought about him ATM. Don't get mid a ton, but sitting around a 80+% W/R with him and def helping me climb.

His full combo relies on the initial landing of his Q. And also in teamfights his ult makes him a sitting target, that's why no one really plays him

You forgot how Malzahar is insanely mana-hungry and squishy during the early game.

Malzahar is an interesting champion. He's sorta in this weird place in between a poke/sustained damage mage and a burst mage.

If he gets fed, it can kinda be the best of both worlds as he can both one shot someone and have substantial sustained damage in the fight. But if he is super behind, he can't really burst quite as well.

I think he's a pretty solid soloq champ, and his basically nonexistent mechanics make him one of those champs you can pull out and perform on without having to really practice him.
