I need help with Plat.

Hey all, So I'm a mid main and I'm currently plat5. My issue with plat is that I've had so many junglers play kayle, shy, etc. And they don't know how to play the actual champion, not just jungle but for every role. I really enjoy playing zed mid and I'm very good with it but I guess he just can't carry hard anymore. My main question is what are some tips you can give me for plat? I really want to hit diamond this season but I'm struggling. I've hit plat4 about 7 times now and got demoted almost instantly. It's super annoying when people play champions when they have no idea how to play them. Thanks in advance!

Definitely don't play Zed right now. I am a previous Zed main, and this meta is BAD for assassins. He can still win of course, but the issue here is that this is a tank meta. What comes with a tank meta? A ton of cc and a lot of champions that can't be assassinated. People will argue that you can still dive the backline and kill the adc, but it doesn't work like that. On Zed you may be able to point and click ult, but the moment they catch you, any good tanky cc-er is going to turn around and immediately stop you. Assassinations just don't work in this kind of meta. It gets harder and harder to focus down and kill one person, aoe is much better.

Ahri is good right now because she's a sort of mixture of sustained, safe damage + cc, and assassin. So she's a good pickup if you are used to the assassin style but want to stay relevant even if you can't assassinate anyone like last season.

A lot of plat seems to be mindless grind. If you play enough you might slowly go up. I'm not sure on that front, I can't seem to get out of plat 5 either. I do know the meta though.

tip from a diamond you cant play the hard champions like zed or you would be diamond use your brain play easy shit farm at a actually human brain level and dont die 3000x. easiest trip to diamond ever. north. america. lan is harder.
