Mid Laner Looking to Jungle
During early S4, I played a ton of ARAM, but as the season went on, I really wanted to start playing ranked and not just land in bronze I like last year (in S3, I just played the ten placement matches), but to do so, you really should have at least one option (preferably more to be ban/pick proof) in each role and I really didn't have options in top or jungle. Towards the end of the season, I started playing Yasuo top as I primarily play mid, so learning how to play him would be useful for mid lane match-ups as well. Eventually, I got semi-decent with him, but just as I was about to do the same to jungle, the preseason changes to the jungle were announced. Given how much things were going to change, I figured it'd be better not to do that as I'd have to unlearn things. Regardless, the preseason is now, so I'm now looking to find one or more junglers to play as so that I'll have plenty of role options for S5 ranked.
For a bit of background on me, I main mid lane with champions like Xerath, Azir, Veigar, Ori, and Syndra. I also play support with things like Vel'koz, Nami, Janna, and Sona. ADC is usually Jinx or Caitlyn, though I've been trying some Trist lately. Top lane at this point pretty much just consists of Yasuo, though I've tried Cho and Elise top before with moderate success. As you can probably see, I prefer longer-ranged champions to shorter-ranged ones. Of course, with the jungle, I don't have as many options for that.
I've tried jungle Elise a couple times and seem to enjoy that (and succeeded in getting a couple lanes fed each game with her so far), but I've heard several places she's only mediocre in this season. Should I consider alternatives, or is this a case of "play what you want, not the meta?" If I should try someone a bit more meta, who? I've tried Fiddle a couple times before, but he never did it for me. If you guys think that I should reconsider him though, I'd give him another shot. I played a couple Diana jungle games about a year ago, but I just don't feel useful as her ganks are resoundly meh until level 6. Also, I really should have at least one AD jungler option that I can play if my team is heavy on AP. Any suggestions?
