Starting to question building lifesteal as an adc

Hey all,

Recently I've reconsidered getting bloodthirster/ botrk as a 3rd or fourth item. Last whisper seems to deal more damage for cheaper as a third item and guardian angel seems to protect me better as a 4th. I often find my dorans blade to be sufficient life steal to heal up off attacks once I get a few items. Super late game i'm thinking about going black cleaver rather than a blood thirster since i'm dead if i get caught out even with lifesteal

What do you guys think?

the nice thing about BT late game is if you get poked out, you can kill a jungle camp and be full health again.

If you had black cleaver instead of BT you would be forced back to base.

I think you should try not to get caught out as much as possible :3

To answer, it's all preference; if you can destroy them before they can wreck you, then by all means skip the lifesteal. But lifesteal does allow you to maintain sustained dps for longer, on account of survivability.

Black Cleaver isn't much of an adc item, more of a bruiser item. Bloodthirster gives you everything you need, sustain, good amount of AD, and a shield. These are builds you should be getting, depending on what adc you're playing. Tri force rushers: item 3078 item 3153 item 3031 item 3035 item 3006 You can always switch Botrk for BT if the enemy team don't really have anyone tanky. Botrk rushers:item 3153 item 3031 item 3087 item 3035 item 3006 Any other typical adc: item 3031 item 3072 item 3087 item 3035 item 3006 Defensive items: item 3102 item 3026 item 3139

Vamp Scepter is a lane sustain item. It's useful, especially if you're a bit behind and have to farm up a bit. Then either upgrade it to a BT/Reaver as your 5th item (after boots, IE, Statikk and LW) or build it into a BotRK if you're a BotRK champ.
