Kha'zix itemization help?

Kha'zix is my favorite champion. My winrate with him has always hovered around 50%, but not like: win a game, lose a game. I either go on winning streaks or big losing streaks. Right now I'm on a losing streak, but that's besides the point.

I've gone back and forth with how to build him. I use to be a firm believer that Black Cleaver was just a noob trap on him and I would instead build something along the lines of Warriors>Hydra>Last whisper>Lucidity boots (I would often build Bloodthirster as well) and I would evolve Q every time

Then I watched Trick2g's "My way" where he explained all of the benefits of BC and he didn't build Hydra (and built tank items after bc) so I tried it out and had a lot of success. (my build is normally: Warriors>Black Cleaver>Tabi/Merc>Dead man's plate>Banshees/Maw)

Then I realized that I was actually playing 2 different playstyles: Assassin or Bruiser

My question is: When should I build Assassin and when should I build Bruiser? Assassin seems very risky but with better payoffs if executed correctly. Should I build Assassin when ahead? Or whenever the strongest person on the enemy team is a squishy?

Or is it basically: Bruiser=Easy mode Assassin=Hard mode ?

Edit: Also I had another question. Should I evolve Q first when building Assassin and evolve E first when building bruiser?

Build assassin when theres allot of squeeshys u can 1hit and ir ahead if not bruiser

I'v played a alot of kha in my time but what i find myself doing is going hydra LW into tanky like banshee/randuin etc. There are times when you are really behind and you just become useless and then its just hard to come back from. Kha really needs to be ahead honestly. Another thing iv done depending on how tany the enemy is going tiamat into LW but i usually don't get cleaver unless the game is over and im just insainly ahead or i get it late selling jungle item for it.
